Chapter 35: House warming party

Rory's POV: Two weeks later:

We are having a housewarming party next week. Sookie is catering the food, everybody will be here. We invited everyone in Stars Hollow, Jess, Finn, Luke, Colin, and Robert are coming. Babette, Miss Patti, Kirk, Taylor, Lane, and Zack I know are coming. We even invited Logan and Odette but I am not sure if they will show up or not. 

I have been trying to get the house cleaned and ready for the party but Tristan won't allow me to do much since I was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago.  

He has had Robert, Finn, and Colin here keeping tabs on me making sure I am not doing anything. I am now thirty-six weeks pregnant.

I have been having trouble sleeping at night I can't get comfortable and the worst part is I can't lay on Tristan's chest because my stomach is too big. I think that is why I can't sleep because I love to listen to Tristen's heartbeat. 

Now, I sleep on my side and he sleeps cuddled up on my back. He isn't liking the sleeping arrangement either. 

My feet and ankles are swollen I can barely wear house shoes and sandals. I am so ready to have this baby and to actually be able to see my toes again. Tristan took me to get a pedicure last week.

Tristan's POV:

I have gotten everything cleaned with the help of the guys making sure she stays on the couch. We are having the housewarming party in four days and I am going to get everything set up.

Lorelai agreed to come over before the party and help me. Finn, Colin, and Robert told me they would do the cleaning but I figured Rory needed to spend time with her friends. 

I walk to the living room and see my wife laying on the couch. Finn is rubbing her feet while Colin and Robert are finding another movie to watch. 

She has no idea how beautiful she is. I thank god every day for us running into each other in the park. That day changed my life for the better and now I have this beautiful woman who is my wife and the love of my life and a baby on the way.

She has every guy wrapped around her finger and she doesn't even realize it. These guys would do anything she asked them to. Logan, Dean, and Jess have never been able to get completely over her. 

I smile as I realize that I am the lucky bastard that got her. She married me and we are starting a family together. I am head over heels in love with Rory Dugray. 

I walk the rest of the way into the living room. "Looks to me like you are getting spoiled in here."

"Yes, she is mate. She is the queen of this house and our best friend so we get to spoil her. Isn't that right love?"

"Yes, Finny you can spoil me anytime you want. Tristan dear are you jealous?"

"No. I am just saying they are spoiling you I never said it was a bad thing. I am glad you are able to spend time with the guys. I have gotten everything cleaned the night before the party I will put up the decorations and stuff and then all we have to do is set out the plates and such before the food arrives. Meaning I can spoil my wife a little too."

Rory smiled a huge smile and held her hand out for Tristan to come to her. He walked over and sat down beside her. He leaned down and kissed her. 

"What would you like for dinner? I can cook or we can order something?"

"Can we do pizza and wings? Oh and maybe Chinese too?"

"Anything you want my dear wife. I will be glad when our son is born your cravings are crazy. I am going to place our food order and I will be right back."
