Chapter 64: Move-in day

Rory and Tristan are packing the last bit of stuff into their vehicles. They have Tristan's truck packed, Rory's SUV, Brayden's car, and Emmy's car. They are packed to the max. Tristan made a deal with the kids they spend their freshman year in a dorm and then the remainder of their time in college we bought a home.

So, Michael will be moving into the four-bedroom condo we bought and we agreed he can have a couple of roommates for this year only. Next year the twins will be moving into the condo and they will all be together again.

Most people would think that Michael would be upset about having to share the condo with his younger brother and sister but the good thing is they have always been close. Last year the twins even went and spent a night on campus with him.

They had a Gilmore movie night and had a blast the twins were so excited about hanging out with Michael. Michael was happy to have them. We have always been lucky in that area all three of the kids are very close and they protect each other.

Don't get me wrong our kids did bicker but not very often. They never fought just had disagreements they would stomp off and slam their door. Then the next day they would apologize and be friends again. We couldn't have dreamed of better kids.

When Michael got his license we bought him an Audi sports car because that is what he wanted and when the twins got their licenses we bought their cars as well. Brayden wanted a Dodge Challenger and Emmy picked a Ford Mustang. 

We agreed to pay for their insurance on all the cars until they graduated college and start work. Michael has chosen to step into the law firm. Once he finishes his first four years of college he is taking a year off and then will return for another four years to complete his law degree.

Emmy has chosen to step into the Gilmore Insurance firm so she is majoring in economics the same as her grandpa Richard. I know he is smiling down. 

Brayden will be taking over the Dugrey Dynasty so each of the kids will have their own company to grow the way they want. 

They pulled out and headed to the Yale campus. The twins were in the same building just on different floors. They each had one roommate we requested the same setup as we had with Michael. 

Michael was standing by the parking area waiting for us. He hugged each of us and then we started unloading Brayden's stuff first since he was on the second floor. Once we finished and I had unpacked some of his items we started unloading Em's stuff.

When we got to her dorm room and she opened it her roommate was already there. Her name is Deena. Michael walked in and completely stopped when he noticed her. He stumbled for words to say.

Tristan and I stopped and looked at each other. Michael was speechless and I think he has a crush. We all politely introduced ourselves and began setting her stuff up. Michael just stood there staring at her roommate.

She sat there also staring at Michael and blushing. She was a very beautiful girl and she seemed really nice. 

Once they got everything unloaded and Rory had unpacked her stuff. They all said their goodbyes and left. Michael hesitated and stayed behind. 

"I just have to say you are very beautiful. Are you single?" Michael asked.

"Thank you and yes I am." She replied shyly.

"Would you be interested in going out with me like to dinner or something one night? I mean after you get settled in and everything."

"Sure that would be nice. I don't really know anyone here since I just moved here from California. I will give your sister my number and you can text me. It was nice to meet you, Michael."
