17th of December 1992

Robyn had learnt a fair amount in the past month or so.

For example, though the game is called 'Mario Brothers', 'Mario' is not their last name. There is Mario. There is Luigi. And they are brothers. But – the 'Mario Brothers'? How unfair is that? Poor Luigi.

Lana had also told her about football, and her favourite team – Manchester United. Apparently they were the greatest team in the world. Robyn couldn't exactly say otherwise, what would she know? Lana had even taught her to say 'Come On You Reds' but made sure she would only say it in reference to Manchester United, and not some rubbish team like Liverpool or Arsenal. Lana had then gone off on a tangent about how Ryan Giggs was 'so handsome' before remembering herself.

Lana had definitely come out her shell a bit while educating Robyn on all things Muggle. But she was still no Willow or Olivia when it came to talking. No, those two could talk for Britain.

Lana had told her about several films, otherwise known as 'movies', such as the James Bond franchise, E.T. the Extra Terrestrial, Lady and the Tramp

("Wow, that's like if Willow and I were to be in a 'film' together!" Robyn had said as a joke, to which Lana giggled happily as she informed her that the Lady and the Tramp fall in love. Robyn had quickly backtracked).

The part which interested Robyn most was Muggle music. There was so much – bands, singers, genres, everything. Lana told her about her favourite bands: The Stone Roses and The Smiths. Willow and Olivia had then started chiming in with their own favourite music, as both had experience in the Muggle world. In fact, they ended up writing her a list, should she ever venture into the Muggle world, of must-listens:

- The Stone Roses (Lana)

- The Smiths (Lana)

- ABBA (Olivia)

- Madonna (Olivia)

- Queen (Willow)

- Michael Jackson (Willow)

They made a copy for Luna, too.

Robyn was not a Muggle-lover by any means, not at all. She still had her reservations. But, she was interested, fascinated by their little inventions and films and music and – there was just so much she never knew.

And now, she and Lana were on much friendlier terms.

But this was all kept hush-hush, obviously. If her Slytherin friends were to find out...

At the moment, she was walking with Astoria to the Great Hall for the duelling club Lockhart had advertised. Not that either of them could do much more than a few simple spells. She supposed she could use the Severing Charm from Charms class, but that might kill her opponent. And that might get her a detention. Or Azkaban.

So, they were only going to watch. She knew her Ravenclaw friends (yes, friends) were going too. Maybe she could introduce them to Astoria, Flora, and Hestia. Well, Willow and Luna, at least. And they'd probably tolerate Olivia, too. Not Lana, though...

When they entered the Great Hall, it was busy. Really busy. It felt like the whole school was there. She supposed people were nervous about the whole 'monster in the school' thing. Yeah, fair enough.

As Robyn and Astoria moved to the corner where the twins were standing casually, she looked around to spot who was present. Her Ravenclaw year-mates were standing a bit along the wall, presumably also just here to watch. Her brother and his friends were standing near a raised platform, where she supposed Lockhart would be demonstrating. Dylan was surrounded by all her friends – she was quite popular – including Gunnar, who waved a hand and smirked at her. That made her uncomfortable.
