30th May 1993

Robyn was sitting at the Slytherin table surrounded by the sort of folk her father would approve of when Draco suddenly let out a gasp from next to her.

"I don't believe it!"

Robyn swallowed her roast potato before asking, "What? What is it?" Everyone in the surrounding area had stopped to listen.

"Father's been removed from the Board of Governors!" he spat. There were several gasps and noises of disapproval.

"You're taking the piss," Lloyd stated, clearly dismayed at the news.

"I'm not," Draco insisted. "Mother wrote me. Apparently Dumbledore's coming back, too."

"Nooo," Pansy groaned dramatically. "School had only just started to get good!"

"I don't believe Dumbledore is fit for the job since he allowed such a kerfuffle to happen in the first place," Daphne commented snootily.

"Agreed," Astoria added. Daphne rolled her eyes.

"If Dumbledore comes back...will Hagrid come back too?" Theo surmised.

"Merlin, you're right! Anyone want to join me at Durmstrang?" Draco joked and nudged Robyn on the arm. She smiled at him tentatively but did not say anything. She didn't exactly share their views. Well, about Dumbledore, at least. She liked him, even if he was a little suspicious. Hagrid? She didn't know him. She did feel a bit indignant at Draco's father being removed, though. He was a smart and respectable man.

Suddenly, there was a rush of chatter as several people entered the Great Hall. She heard someone shrieking "You solved it! You solved it!" all the way from the other side of the hall – it was a familiar shriek. But she was distracted as Astoria spoke up.

"Is that..." the girl trailed off.

"The Mudblood brigade," Draco scoffed.

"We should've sabotaged the Mandrake Draught," Lloyd said passionately in a way that disturbed Robyn.

It took a lot of will power for her to not walk over to the Ravenclaw table to greet Lana; she had missed her and her little Muggle anecdotes and facts. Instead, she sat and watched enviously as the Ravenclaw girls covered Lana in hugs, probably telling her how much they missed her. As Lana hugged Olivia, she faced the Slytherin table. As a result she made direct eye contact with Robyn who gulped. Lana gave her a smile but she did not return it. She couldn't; not surrounded by a group of blood supremacists. Her own brother had wished for Lana and the others' deaths... Besides, Robyn had vowed to save Dylan from Gunnar, and to do that, she couldn't be friends with or even associated with Lana. So, she looked away.

McGonagall gathered everyone's attention and announced there would be a feast tonight to celebrate the monster being gone, and that was that.

Robyn spent that afternoon out by the lake with the Slytherins. She would not return to the dorm in case she'd see any of the other Ravenclaw girls.

Draco had been bold and given her a kiss on the cheek when she sat down next to him under the tree, making her go red. She was fairly sure he'd try to kiss her next year, though he'd probably wait until she were thirteen – a proper teenager.

Of course, Blaise had caught sight of Draco kissing her on the cheek. Had to be him out of everyone. Though, better him than Lloyd. As they were all heading to the Great Hall for the feast, Blaise pulled her to slow down. He threw an arm around her shoulder as they walked behind the others. Luckily, Draco was distracted by Lloyd and Daphne.
