"Happy sixteenth birthday, Robyn."

"Thank you, Luna."

"Happy birthday, Rob!"

"Thanks, Olivia."

"Happy—"

"Okay, I get it."

Willow poked her. "Rude. I guess I'll just cancel your surprise party, then."

Robyn glared. "You did not throw me a surprise party..."

"Yeah, you're right, I didn't."

She shook her head and left the dorm room to go to breakfast, where Luna presented her with "birthday pancakes". There was literally nothing different about them from any other pancakes, but it was the thought that counted.

"So, you don't want a surprise party – I could have whipped one together for you, you know, because I'm so popular and liked," Willow bragged over her pancakes. "But, well, what do you want?"

To fix the cabinet.

"I don't know. Nothing."

"Rubbish! You only turn sixteen once!"

"You only turn every age once."

"Merlin, you're boring."

"Why don't we just go and sit by the lake tonight after dinner?" suggested Luna.

So that's what they did. They brought blankets and food and constantly maintained the Hot Air Charm (it was still January, after all) which reminded Robyn of Astrid which in turn made her smile.

"What are you smiling about?"

"Can't I smile on my birthday?" she said defensively.

Olivia hummed, doubtful. Then, "You never told me everything, by the way."

"Everything?"

"From Hogmanay. Astrid."

"Oh," Robyn blushed, which Willow took note of.

"Astrid's the person you left with?" she said, leaning forward eagerly.

"Yes..."

"I assumed it was Hermione!"

"Hermione wasn't here," said Robyn in a flat voice.

"Ohhh. So you had to downgrade."

"Astrid's not a downgrade, don't be mean," said Olivia.

"It's not her fault she's not Hermione," said Luna.

Robyn blushed again, but made no effort to deny the statement.

Willow snickered. "Okay, well what exactly did you do with her? Astrid?"

"Ugh," Robyn whined, bumping her head lazily against Luna, who patted it. "She took me up the Astronomy Tower and kissed me."

"That's cute. Did you like it?" pushed Olivia, to which Robyn hesitated.

"I did, but..."

"She's not Hermione," Luna reiterated as if it were obvious.

"Spot on," mumbled Robyn.

Willow shrugged. "So get back together with Hermione, then."

"It's not that simple."
