Day Six

"What now?" Robyn wondered as she and Hermione left the music shop after having another 'music session', as Hermione had so labelled it.

This session had consisted of David Bowie, The Kinks, and, of course, Bob Marley – to name a few.

Hermione took a moment to reply, but suggested, "We could go to the Muggle museum. The one I told you about."

Oh, yes. Hermione had really gone on about it back when they were time travelling (what a sentence that was). Well, if Hermione liked it so much, Robyn probably would, too.

Also – the cheek kiss had not been brought up...by either of them. Probably for the best...?

"Let's go."

It took about ten minutes to walk there, Hermione, as usual, constantly making sure Robyn wasn't about to get herself hit by a car. Of course, by this point she had braved it on her own more than once, but she wasn't complaining about the extra protection.

They passed a fantastic building on the way, which Hermione explained was the Royal Pavilion – a former royal residence. On the grounds surrounding it were hundreds of people relaxing on the grass while live music played softly in the background.

"We'll go there, too?" Robyn asked hopefully.

"Definitely," confirmed Hermione.

Finally, they stood in front of another fancy building. Robyn tried to enter, but Hermione held her back.

"Okay, just- act like you belong, all right?"

Robyn laughed uncertainly. "What do you mean?"

"Well...under 14s are supposed to be accompanied by over 16s. And I'm not even fifteen. So, try to look fourteen. Get me?"

Ah, Hermione was showing her criminal tendencies...and making Robyn her accomplice, once more.

"I get you. But how can I look fourteen?" she wondered. Was there really much of a difference?

"I don't know! Just...do what I do?"

"Do what you do."

"Ready?"

"Ready."

"You don't have to start yet—"

"Come on!"

They laughed and headed in together. Hermione got in for free (lucky – something about her grandparents being locals) but Robyn had to pay. Hermione tried to go half and half, but Robyn wouldn't allow it. No chance! She slammed the coins onto the counter and took the tickets from the worker in a flash then hurried onwards. Hermione, stunned, followed after a moment.

They started out in the Fine Art galleries. And, of course, none of the portraits moved. But they were still very impressive.

Then, there was the Ancient Egypt gallery, where they learnt how to write their names in hieroglyphics. They wrote:

'Hermione + Robyn, August 1994'

It was cool.

Next, they went to a gallery called 'Queer the Pier', which celebrated the LGBT+ history of Brighton going back thousands of years. There were even fossils shown behind a glass panel of two male skeletons who were supposedly embracing each other. It was theorised that they were a gay couple.

Robyn had no idea how they would know that, or really what a fossil was, but it was cool.

There was a big sign, reading, 'Homosexuality is as old as mankind'.
