"You can all come have a look at the Lunascope a few at a time, but for now please take out your moon charts—"

"Sorry I'm late, Professor!"

"Miss Flores," Professor Sinistra said curtly, to which Robyn whipped her head round to look at the new arrival, "do you have a note to excuse your truancy?"

"Yes," Olivia nodded, waving said note as she walked to the front of the classroom, "signed by my- er, Mr Rosier. Here."

"Very well," sighed Sinistra, floating the note to her desk at the front. Then, she spoke in an uncharacteristically soft voice, "I'm glad to see you're doing better, Olivia."

"Thanks," Olivia said quietly, smiling her charming smile. "Er, is there a seating plan?"

"Not yet," said Sinistra, raising her eyebrows, "but don't think I've forgotten just how much you, Miss Rosier, and Miss Greengrass like to giggle and gossip, so it might not remain so – the Astronomy N.E.W.T is no laughing matter!"

And yet, Olivia laughed awkwardly, "Right..." She spun around, her eyes taking in the spare seats, but, in fact, there was only one, and it was right next to Robyn. When her eyes met Robyn's, she gasped.

Professor Sinistra looked at her strangely. "Are you all right there?"

She gulped, "Y-Yes, I just thought- never mind. I'm going to sit down now."

"Please. So, on your moon charts you'll see the full moon this month will be the sixteenth. Even better, it's a lunar eclipse, also known as a blood moon—"

Instead of listening, Robyn watched Olivia slowly make her way to the desk next to her own. She herself had been one of the last to arrive, getting stuck with the seat at the back right, which was right behind Astoria's (so, really, she wasn't complaining), who had offered her a tentative smile as a greeting...and now Olivia was doing the same.

"Olivia," whispered Astoria as soon as the girl sat down, who tore her gaze from Robyn, "why are you in class? It's last period."

"I know," Olivia whispered back, "I was supposed to be back this morning, but Dad let me bunk Dark Arts and Muggle Studies!"

Astoria beamed. "Wicked!"

Olivia smiled back, and then she looked at Robyn again, who had kept her gaze firmly on her moon chart while listening to the conversation occurring right in front of her. "Robyn," she prompted, still whispering, "your hair! I've only—"

"Girls! Already?" Sinistra interrupted, making all three of them jump in fright.

"Sorry, Professor."

"I will separate you," she added sternly before continuing on about the upcoming blood moon.

Olivia didn't try again until the end of class.

"Remember to be up the Astronomy Tower midnight sharp for the practical lesson. Dismissed," announced Sinistra.

Robyn stood immediately, gathering her things quickly and almost knocking over Umar in her haste.

"Robyn?" she heard Olivia call for her.

She didn't wait – she didn't want to talk to Olivia, not after the harrowing conversation with Willow. She wasn't ready for another one. Not yet.

But Olivia took a seat right beside her up the Astronomy Tower that evening.

"Hi," she greeted softly.
