Chapter 65

CHAPTER 65:

Emma's POV:

"I missed you too" I blurt out out of nowhere. He looks up, a surprised look on his face. I look at him with wide eyes too.

He realises that I was continuing the conversation that was unfortunately interrupted by Scar in the morning.

Suddenly, his surprised look is replaced with a genuine smile.

"Really?" He asks me. Instead of answering him, I pull the strings of his hoodie to bring him close to me. I place my lips on his. He doesn't respond at first, surprised that I initiated but he catches on and responds back after a few seconds.

The kiss is slow and gentle but it speaks louder then anything I could have said. I try to convey how much I have missed him.

We pull apart after a few seconds for a breath of air. I look into his eyes to find him already looking at me.

"Does that answer your question?" I whisper as I move my hands up and down his cheeks.

"Mhmm" he says and closes his eyes. He must be really tired because after a few minutes, he starts snoring lightly. I chuckle a little before pulling a blanket over him so he isn't cold.

I take one last look at Scar before sleeping to find her sound asleep with her bunny clutched tightly. I keep the door slightly open and go back to bed.

I am in sleeping beauty's world within minutes. And what feels like ages later, I fall asleep without a sleeping pill.

I wake up a little early to find Steel laying down on my chest, pulling my hair. I look at Jeremy to find him sleeping. So I tiptoe towards the living room and place Steel on the floor with a few of his toys around him. I warm up a little milk for him before checking up on Scar to find her sleeping peacefully.

Next I head over to my room and find Jer also sleeping. I sit beside his head on the bed and run my hands through his hair. His hair has grown so much and he has a light stubble that tickles.

He groans and moves around a bit and I freeze. He gets in between my legs and place shis head on my stomach and wraps his hands around my waist.

"Don't stop" he says in his sleepy state and I immediately resume to what I was doing. He starts getting comfortable.

"Don't get too comfortable, we have to get to the kids too" I say and he nods his head.

He wakes up after about ten minutes or so.

"I could get used to this" he says and stretches his arms while I get out of bed.

"No thank you" I say even though I am blushing. He just chuckles and shakes his head.

We spend the rest of the afternoon playing and watching some television. Jer keeps Steel busy while I entertain Scar.

Jer cooks lunch for everyone and then Scar goes to sleep in the room as she is tired. Steel sleeps in my room, pillows around him to keep him from falling.

Now, it's the two of us again watching television. I decide to watch the re-runs of The big Bang theory while Jeremy sits beside me.
