Chapter 64

CHAPTER 64:

Emma's POV:

Jeremy rests his head on my shoulder and sighs loudly. Unconsciously I place my hand on his head and run it through his hair softly. He groans and I stop movements.

"Don't stop" he whispers, his voice hoarse. I run my hands through his hair again.

"Are you okay?" I ask him softly. I feel him shake his head.

"Jeremy, what's wrong?" I say as I move his head away from me and look him directly in the eyes.

"Nothing.. it's just that..that I miss you and I know you need space but I just can't help it." He says and exhales loudly. Before I can say anything, the door bursts open and Scarlett looks around before her eyes stop on us.

We jump apart and I hold my towel tighter as I walk towards her and crouch down.

"What happened? You need anything?" I ask her.

"Can we play in park?" She asks me and I nod my head and she squeals loudly. Throwing her hands in the air.

"Just let me put something on and we can go" I say with a smile.

"Can Jewemy come?" She asks me.

"Now that you should ask him, if he is busy or not" I say and Scar looks at Jeremy with questioning eyes. When Jeremy doesn't say anything.

"Please? Pwetty please?" She adds and Jeremy says yes. Scar runs over to him and jumps in his arms and he catches her gracefully. I just shake my head at their madness as they walk out.

I change into black sweats and a white crop top over it. I grab a Jean jacket, just incase it gets too cold. I wear white sport shoes with it.

I walk out to see Scar all ready to head out holding Jeremy's hands. I grab Steel from his basket, into my arms and take his bag filled with a little food for him and Scar and his diapers and an extra pair of clothes.

We head out and Jeremy decides to drive. Withing fifteen minutes or so, we reach the park. Scar takes off as soon as she steps out of the car. Jeremy takes the bag from my hand and goes to grab Steel but I pull him closer to me.

"Give him to me, I know he is a little heavy" he says.

"It's okay, we will sit anyways" I shrug and walk ahead while Jeremy locks the door and jogs over.

I take a seat at the table under the tree which was empty. Jeremy takes a seat beside me.

"So what are you upto these days" Jeremy asks and I look up, surprised

"Are you trying to small talk?" I say and laugh at him while Steel looks at the both of us.

"Whatever, now will you tell me how this happened?" He says and gestures to Steel and Scar.

"Well, not that it is any of your business, but they are my niece and nephew. Ethan's kids" I say and he nods his head.

"Why are they with you?" He asks.

"Ethan and Emily wanted the weekend off so I offered" I say shrugging my shoulders.

"I thought he didn't want to keep touch" he says and I realise that Bella must have told him about his decision.
