Chapter 33

CHAPTER 33:

Emma's POV:

As he comes closer, I prepare myself to apologise to him. But before I say anything, he starts talking.

"I am sorry" he says and stands in front of me with his face down.

"What?" I say, very surprised. I didn't expect him to apologise because even though he was wrong, I over reacted.

"I know I shouldn't have been so angry at you. It wasn't your fault. I could've been more considerate" he says and finally looks up at me.

"Even I am sorry. I shouldn't have over reacted" I apologise too. He looks at me, surprised.

"Lets forget all of this and get going. It's really hot and I am sweating" he says. I chuckle and shake my head. Jeremy opens the door.

"I'll drive" I say and sit inside. He shuts the door and walks over to the passenger side. He buckles in and I start driving.

"So where to?" I ask him. He thinks for sometime.

"Just drive back to your place. I have an idea" he says and starts doing something on his phone.

"What are you upto now?" I ask him as I concentrate on the road.

"Nothing much. Just keep driving" he instructs and types away on his phone. I wonder what he has up his sleeves now.

"I am really tired. Can we just stay in for tonight?" I ask him after a few minutes pass away in silence. He puts away his phone and looks at me.

"It won't be a lot, I promise." He says.

"Pinky promise?" I say and put my pinky finger out.

"Seriously?" He looks at my finger and then my face. I give him a look and he attaches his finger to mine.

We reach my apartment after a few minutes.

"Now go get changed into something more comfortable like sweats or something. Meet me after an hour in the front of your building" He says when we enter my apartment. He places my shopping bag from yesterday in my room and goes to leave the place. I grab his forearm to stop him

"Wait! Where are you going?" I ask him.

"Just.. I'll meet you down in an hour. Do not, I repeat, do not be late" he says.

"Aye aye captain!"  I say with a two-finger salute. He laughs at me. He gives me a quick kiss on the cheek and leaves. I wonder what he wants to do. All I want to do is cuddle and watch some Netflix.

I realise that I have an hour to get ready. So, first I keep all the clothes I bought yesterday in the closet. Then I go for a warm shower where I shave my whole body and use my favourite shower gel. I wash my hair.

When I get out of the shower, I still have twenty minutes. I  blow dry hair and then go inside the closet.

"Hmm, he asked me to wear something comfortable." I talk to myself as I look around for something to wear. I hope I don't look insane talking to myself... I can't be the only one doing it, can I?
