Chapter 52

CHAPTER 52:

Emma's POV:

Our conversation drifts away after that. We talk about Isaac and  Bella's date which was amazing according to Bella. They had gone to a semi - fancy restaurant and walked in the park after that where he asked her to be his girlfriend, which she definitely agreed to. Jules and Sean's relationship is still quite rocky, like they definitely like each other but are totally denying their feelings. Sean hasn't asked her out and she isn't going to be the one asking him out, again her words not mine. Ver is still single, she says it didn't workout with the girl at the beach. And she still hasn't told her parents so...

I told them what's going on with Jeremy and me. I didn't give any juicy details though they almost begged for it. I told them that we've said our 'i love yous' and been cozy a few times still not giving the details.

At around 12 in the night i am about to leave when they somehow convince me to stay. I change into clothes provided by Jules. I text Jeremy that I won't be coming and he sends me a sad emoji to which I reply with a laughing emoji. He says that he will go back to his apartment seeing there is no point being at my apartment. I wish I could go back but the girls night out was much needed.

We drank bottles of expensive wine, ate snacks more then I ever could and then watched movies till 4 in the morning. We slept after that because we had to get to class but Jules decided she would just skip.

The next morning I woke up really tired but I knew I had to go as I have already missed a few times. I call Jeremy and ask him to swing by my apartment for my bag. I could wear the clothes from last night seeing they weren't very dirty.

I am in the last fifteen minutes of my last lecture when 'I like me better' by Lauv starts playing loudly. At first I just look around and then see everyone starting at me and snickering. I realise that it's my phone, I grab it and switch it off, muttering an embarassing apology to the teacher.

When the class gets over, I dash out of the class as everyone was still laughing including Jeremy. Jeremy rested his head on the table as soon as I muttered the apology. His shoulders kept shaking as he couldn't control his laughter.

I talk to ver and Bella for sometime and when Jeremy comes out, he tells them what happened inside, and then they start howling in laughter. I stand there, red tainting my cheeks.

"Haha.. so funny" I say sarcastically as their laughter dies down. It reminds me to call back the person. I grab my phone and see an unknown number. I make a mental note to call the number later. We talk for a few more minutes and leave. I tell Jeremy not to call me because my plan is to sleep amd I threaten him that if he does call me, I am never going to talk to him again.

Jeremy goes back to his place as he is supposed to talk to his parents. I haven't heard from his mother after that strange call and I don't know if I am looking forward to meeting her or not. And don't even get me started on his father. Let's just hope his father doesn't piss him off again.

I open the door to my apartment and throw the keys on the counter and remove my shoes and jump on the couch, very tired as I didn't get any sleep since yesterday so I just want to sleep.  I don't even have the energy to get to my bed. I am out within minutes.

I wake up after some time and the whole room is dark. My phone says it is 8.14 in the night. I get off the couch and change into my night clothes, a cotton shorts and a silk single strap top with a very low neck, obviously no bra. I enter my bedroom and groan again, I still haven't kept my clothes that I shopped and they are kind of bothering me now but I still can't get myself to put them back. Damn! I have grown so much more lazy.
