CHAPTER 37:

Emma's POV:

"Jeremy, why would you bring this girl her here?" He says and looks at me with disgust.

"What do you mean by this girl?" Jeremy says, getting angry.

"You know what I mean. Do you have any idea how Cassandra must have felt?" His father says, his voice going higher with every word. I can't believe he thinks I am some kind of prostitute or a slut.

"Father, Cass and I aren't together anymore. You have to get that through your thick head. I don't  care how she must have felt. And as for her, she is my girlfriend" Jeremy says and points towards me. I can't say anything as I am on the verge of tears.

"You are going to get back with Cassandra, get that through your head. I won't tolerate this behaviour" his father's voice booms in the house. His father is really pissed off.

"Get that girl out of my house before I do" His mother says and she looks at me with disgust in her voice.

"I'll leave if it's going to be a problem" I say as a single tear drops and rolls down my cheek.

"No, you won't" Jeremy says. His voice matching his father's tone.

"Jeremy, it's okay. I'll just go" I say as I place my hand on his bicep to stop him from arguing more. I don't want him to have a fight with his parents over me. Jeremy looks at my hand, then my face and then he faces his parents again.

"If she goes, then even I do" Jeremy says.

"Are you going to give up all of this over some girl?" His father asks him.

"She is not some girl. I like her, a lot. She means a lot to me, more then your property" he says. He hesitates when he says 'like'. He doesn't stand to listen more. He grabs my hand and fast walks toward his bedroom. He shuts the door and grabs his bags.

"Jeremy, don't do this. Don't fight over me" I say, trying to console him. I don't know a lot about his relation with his parents. But fighting isn't the right decision.

"No, Emma. I am not going to let anybody talk trash about you" he says and keeps packing his stuff. I take a seat on his couch.

"Is it worth all the fight?" I ask him in a small voice. His hands stop moving. He turns around, crouches in front of me and places his hands on my face. He slowly pushes my face up, I am forced to look at his face and stare right into his eyes.

"Emma, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You are worth everything. Don't ever doubt that. I am never going to let you go. And my Grammy likes you, so I don't care what the others think" he says in all seriousness. I chuckle a little at his last statement.

"If that is what you want" I say and place my forehead over his. We sit like that for about minute, taking in the moment.

"Okay, let's get packing then" he says and gets back to packing. I help him pack his stuff. He pretty much grabs everything in his room.

When he is done, the room is bare. Not that it wasn't before. But now there is nothing, he didn't even leave a single piece of clothing. He has about two luggage bags, and two handbags. I help him carry his stuff but he still might have to make a second trip.
