Chapter 32

CHAPTER 32:

Emma's POV:

We get out of the car and I am surprised to see Carter there too.

"Hey guys" I say to all of them with a bright smile on my face.

"Don't hey us. You're like ten minutes late. Where the hell were y'all?" Jules asks us.

"You know what nevermind. Lets just go inside" she says before any of us could open our mouths. We walk in and it is a outdoor paintball and laser tag centre. It looks fun but I haven't played in a really long time. The people there greet us and take us to places where we can wear our gears.

"Guys, does anybody have an extra shirt? I can't wear white" I say and pout. Nobody says anything but then Carter says that he has one. He runs back to his car and gets me his shirt. It's really big but I am not complaining.

"Ughh" I hear Jeremy groaning behind me when I come back from the bathroom.

"What's wrong?" I ask him. He is almost ready with all the gear. He looks so much more sexy in the gear.

"I hate seeing you in somebody else's clothes" he says.

"There's nothing I can do about it. If I would've known I would have worn something different" I try to explain myself.

"Whatever" he says with some attitude. What the hell? I didn't even do anything now. If he wants to be like this then I don't care. I am not going to spoil the time with my friends.

"What are the teams? " I ask as I wear the gear. They just look around like dumb people.

"Did nobody think about it?" I ask them again. I just shake my head and decide to do something about it.

"Lets play Rock Paper and Scissors. The last two people are the captain's and the winner chooses first" I instruct and we start playing.

After a lot of difficulty, when the game is finally over, Veronica and Jeremy are captain's. Veronica chooses first. The final teams are Jeremy, Carter, Bella and Jules and on the other side Veronica, Sean, Isaac and me. Jeremy chooses me but I refused to play with him. Losers have to do everything the other team pays for next dinner.

We take our positions and make game plans.

"Isaac you place and guard the flag, Sean, you go through the right and Em, you go through the left. I will go straight. Shoot anyone you see" she says and looks at everyone. When Isaac and Sean are talking within themselves, Ver comes to talk to me.

"I know you are with Jeremy but please shoot him" she says to me. I look at her, really offended.

"I would never betray you" I say to her with creased eyebrows.

"I know you wouldn't. But please.." she says and gives me her puppy dog face. It's so cute.

"Alright. That is what I was going to do but I'll make sure to be more attentive. For your sake" I say, roll my eyes at her and we take positions.

As soon as the horn blasts, we all disperse in the respective directions.

I walk straight through all the mud and everything and keep my eye on every turning. I keep looking back for anyone but I don't see anyone. I am about to take a right when I hear crunches. There must be dried leaves which somebody stepped on. I wait at the turning for the person to come. I see Bella coming in to view. I take a shot at her chest.
