Chapter 42

CHAPTER 42:

Emma's POV:

He doesn't say anything, but crouches down in front of me and pulls out a box. I open the box and see a pair of white shoes.

"Wow! These are pretty" I say and look at him.

"You can wear them, they are mine but they'll fit you on the bandaged leg" he says and puts the shoes on my feet. In a very weird way, I feel like Cinderella right now. But, the other legs shoes are really loose. So, he puts on four more socks. They finally do fit me but I look so weird aith huge shoes. But there's nothing I can do about it.

We settle in Jeremy's car and drive towards the court. We reach there in about fifteen minutes and when we enter, it's all dark.

"Is this the right place?" I ask him as I look around. I had checked everything about this place and it definitely has working lights.

"That's the address you gave. Let's just get down and look around" he suggests and I agree. I get out of the car and look around. Jeremy takes my hand in his and guides me through the place.

I just try not to trip face first on the ground so I held onto his hand for dear life. We enter some gate and the floor gets a little hard, so I assume that we have entered the court. He suddenly stops walking.

"Why did you stop?" I ask him still not able to see anything around me. Just then,. The lights switch on and it feels blinding for a second before my eyes adjust the light. I see our friends standing in front of us. The guys are in the basketball jerseys and the girls are wearing sporty but casual clothes.

"Ohh my god we missed you so much" I hear Jules over all the hoots and whistles from the boys. I am engulfed in a hug by everyone and I feel so loved and honoured to be friends with such great people.

We talk on the court for a few minutes and then we girls take a seat on the sidelines and the guys start playing. Every few minutes Jeremy comes over to check on me, to make sure I am okay and I realise that he is just so sweet with me.

We start talking among ourselves and gush over the guys and catch up on what's happened in the last few days. I tell them about Jeremy and I sorting out our differences and Ver tells us she is going to start dating and opening up to her parents. Jules says that she can't figure if Sean likes her so she has opened a tinder page and is going to start seeing someone. And Isabella nad Isaac have been on their first date and are really getting along.

I caught Isaac winking at Bella when he thought no one was looking. Their little exchange was so cute and i am so glad they finally started dating because they make the most adorable couple.

After a lot of gossiping we fell into a comfortable silence and just looked at the boys play. I looked at Jeremy and all my thoughts the night at the hospital came rushing back to me. I am falling in love with him, fast and hard. But I don't know if he will ever love me. It is an amazing feeling and I have never been more happier. I don't know if I should tell him or not, I can't say anything unless I am sure he lives me back. I haven't told the girls because for some reason I feel stupid.

After a few moments everyone starts leaving as it gets late so we say our goodbyes to everyone and I start walking out when Jeremy stops me. I look at his hand and then his face.

"Aren't we going back?" I ask him.

"We still have half an hour, let's just sit" he suggests and I think why not? I take a seat against the court wall kinda thing and Jeremy places his head on my lap. I run my hands through his soft hair and we sit there in silence. He is very sweaty but for some reason he still smells so amazing. I just can't get enough of him.
