A/N - this is a request from shadowninja654, I hope you all enjoy it!
Edit: I've deleted the part of this A/N about the age demographic for this book because I realized it was encouraging people to share their age, which is pretty awful of me. Be careful on the internet, please don't share your age, especially if you're a minor and not old enough to legally use Wattpad.
TW: Suicidal themes
Technoblade didn't often find himself in the Nether. He had a relation to the Piglins there, but he preferred the harsh cold climate of the arctic rather than the harsh heat from the Nether. He was glad he had decided to visit when he did because he was currently holding his sobbing baby brother in his arms.
~Ten Minutes Earlier~
Techno grimaced at the nauseating feeling of traveling through the purple portal, adding it to the list of reasons why he didn't like coming here. He had begrudgingly decided to take a trip to mine some netherite and couldn't put it off any longer.
He searched for a good place to start his mining, his gait so brisk that he almost walked past the figure standing on a bridge a little ways away.
Luckily, his eyes caught sight just before the figure moved out of his vision, and he pivoted on his heel to get a better look.
He leaned forward comically and squinted his eyes, struggling to look in the direction of the bright lava. Reason #55 of why he disliked the Nether.
His distracted thoughts quickly vanished as he identified the thin figure swaying on the edge of the nether brick. That was his little brother Tommy, and his little brother Tommy looked like he was about to jump.
Techno had never run faster in his life. He pushed his legs until they were burning, barely registering the desperate nonsense leaving his mouth. He was begging Tommy to step back, to not jump, to live.
And then it was over. Bony elbows jutted into Techno's abdomen, but he didn't care. He had caught his little brother and saved him.
The pig hybrid wasn't one for hugging or any form of affection, but he held Tommy's head to his chest tighter than anything ever before as if that would chase away whatever thoughts had prompted the blonde to try and kill himself.
"...do that?"
Realizing someone was speaking, he opened his eyes that he didn't know were shut tight and looked down to see the face of his brother. The expression would haunt his dreams for years afterward, jutting cheekbones leading to hollowed cheeks, grey eyes framed by sunken skin, and dark bags. The boy looked malnourished, depressed, empty, and, really, quite dead.
"Eh?"
"Why did you do that, Techno?" The boy sounded tired, but slightly... annoyed? Disappointed? It was times like this that Techno wished he was better at reading people.
"To save your life, duh. I saw my little brother about to fall into lava, I would be a horrible human being to just leave you there."
"I wouldn't have blamed you."
"Now what does that mean?"
"It means that you should have let me die, Technoblade. I wanted to die."
Tommy's voice was forced and clipped at first, but his voice crack gave his emotions away. Techno was scared. Tommy wasn't sad; Tommy didn't wish for death; Tommy didn't call him by his full name. Who was this broken boy sitting in his lap, and who had ripped away his... his Tommyness?
"I would never have let that happen, Toms. I'm so sorry for whatever happened, but you deserve to live. I'll stay with you until you realize that."
"No."
"No?"
"NO. You don't get to waltz back into my life with your stupid braid and cravat and take away the one thing I had left. I was about to jump to freedom, and you took it away. You took it away and now I have to go back, you're going to make me go back and I'm going to have to stay with him all alone and he's going to keep taking my things and blowing shit up and-"
"Who, Tommy?" Techno's voice was so hard and cold, Tommy would have been scared if he had any emotion left to feel at that moment.
"...No one."
"I promise I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at who did this to you, and I need to know their name so I can go murder them."
Tommy knew Techno was ruthless and would uphold his promise. Through the fog of his lingering jumping thoughts, he was able to identify something he hadn't felt in a long time. Hope? Vengefulness? Whatever it was, it made Tommy realize that there was another way to freedom. All he had to do was give Techno a name.
With that, Tommy broke down, his body racked with sobs. He was overwhelmed with everything and all he could do was cry and in between sniffles, he was able to mutter out, "...it was Dream."
Needless to say, the green god of the server was no match for the Blood God, and his three canon lives were quickly taken away from him, his seemingly indestructible body reduced to smoke in minutes.
It would take much, much longer to fix the emotional damages left behind on Tommy and repair the relationships that had been broken by pretty much everyone around him, but now that the SMP was free from its parasite and his poison was seeping away from people's minds, maybe there was hope for all that and more in the future.
(A/N, skip if you're not interested)
This was my first request! It was a bit shorter than normal, but I really liked writing it, so thank you to the person who requested it, they're tagged in the top A/N. I'm happy to write requests if anyone has any! There are some that I might not be able to or won't write, but for the most part, I'd love to write what you guys want to read.
I invented a new word, it's "Tommyness". I expect it to be added to the official English Language Dictionary in 5-8 business days.
That's all, hope you enjoyed!
