A/N - Dante is an OC who belongs to an author named  AUTH0RARS0N. You should definitely check them out if you don't know of them yet. They're super cool and write amazing stories!

Dante's gender is kind of assumed in this oneshot. It's not okay to assume someone's gender, but for plot reasons, I'll let you know now that Dante identifies as male to avoid confusion.

TW: Near-panic attack, swearing, forced coming-out

"Tommy, no phones at the dinner table!" Phil's voice rang out over the clinking of dishware and the loud conversation between Wilbur and Techno. Tommy, who had been uncharacteristically silent, looked up over his screen at his dad and immediately whined, "But Phillllll-"

"Tommy, what's so interesting that it's more important than spending time with your family?" Techno asked in mock disapproval, momentarily forgetting his heated debate with Wilbur. In reality, he couldn't care less what Tommy was up to on his phone, but Phil wasn't having it. "Put the phone down and eat your food."

Tommy grumbled but obeyed his father's wishes, picking up his fork and stabbing a piece of chicken a little harder than necessary.

"Tommy's got a girlfriend," Wilbur quietly muttered in a sing-song voice, a small smirk on his face.

"I DO NOT HAVE A GIRLFRIEND, DICKHEAD!" Tommy's anger and flushed face told Wil all he needed to know and he quickly snatched the still-unlocked phone from his little brother's hands.

Dante: Toms when are you coming to visit me this store is so boring

Tommy: I can try and sneak over after dinner! Dad wants us to have family bonding time but then I can stop by

Dante: Good I want to hug you

Tommy: I would want to hug me too

Dante: Shut up cutie, you're just huggable okay

Needless to say, Wilbur was surprised. His suspicions were semi-correct: Tommy was, indeed, involved with someone judging by the sugar-sweet messages passed between the blond and mysterious 'Dante'. However, Dante seemed to be, most likely, not a girl.

In his shock, he didn't register Tommy snatching the phone back and running out the door in a heated storm of embarrassment, anger, and fear until the door slammed shut behind him.

"Wilbur, what did you see?" Techno didn't usually show concern so forwardly, but he was worried about his little brother. Meanwhile, Phil was also distressed, panic seeping into his voice as he asked, "Is Tommy okay? Who was he talking to?"

Wil said nothing in response, instead rubbing his eyes once before muttering, "I fucked up."

~With Tommy~

He couldn't believe it. He had just realized his sexuality a few weeks ago and was nowhere near ready to come out to his family as bisexual yet, but he had just been outed and immediately ran away. He didn't know what to do, anxiety clawing at his throat as he ran in no determined direction. The corner store where Dante worked came into view, and his shoulders sagged in relief as his pounding footsteps slowed to a soft jog.

He burst in, bells jingling loudly, breathing deeply as he made his way to the register and the body behind it. As he smashed against a chest, arms circled him and warm hands ran up and down his back in a soothing rhythm. A gentle whisper made its way into his mind, speaking against his screaming thoughts. "Tommy, what happened? How can I help?" Dante's voice and calming words reminded Tommy of where he was, as he just hugged the older boy tighter and whispered, "They know."

After calming Tommy down from his near-panic attack, Dante was able to coax the full story out of Tommy.

"Oh boo, it's gonna be okay. From what you've told me your family seems amazing, and I'm sure they'll accept you. And if they don't, they'll have me to deal with."

Tommy chuckled, his worries quelled for now, as he understood the truth behind Dante's words. His family was amazing; they would still love him just as much.

~With the Sleepy Bois~

Wil couldn't feel more guilty. He didn't know how he would make it up to Tommy and didn't know if the boy would forgive him; he had violated his privacy and was now faced with the dilemma of keeping the information from his family and making them worry more, or telling them and ruining any chances of letting Tommy keep his secret to himself until he was ready.

But when he saw the faces of Phil and Techno, he knew he had to tell them.

The musician was surprised when the two didn't blame him - he had been expecting harsh words and raised voices and had been met with a pat on his shoulder and then they moved on.

"We should go look for him, who knows where he went? He could be in danger," Wil's explanation had relieved Phil's worries, but not by much; he was now growing increasingly concerned about his youngest son's whereabouts.

"He's probably at the corner store, that's where Dante works apparently," Wilbur spoke up. With that, they made their way to the corner store.

After seeing a sign on the door that said the store would be open in a few minutes, the three men made their way to the park on a whim.

Wilbur glanced around, looking for a tall boy with blue eyes and blond hair. His eyes settled on a pair sitting on a bench, the shorter's blond head resting on the taller's shoulder as they faced the sunset. It was quite peaceful, and he quietly alerted his father and brother so as to not disturb the murmuring partners. Soft smiles settled on the trio's faces, and they all pulled their cameras out to take a picture of the photo op. It was silently decided that they would trust their youngest to make his way home that evening and they could talk about it then; for now, they would let Tommy and Dante have their time.

A/N -

Thanks so much to AUTH0RARS0N  for letting me use their OC!!

Don't assume people's gender, and please don't out them to anyone, much less people they're close to, if they're not ready. It all works out at the end of this story, but it's not cool to do and it won't always work out this way.

Edit: I deleted part of the texting conversation because I was tired of having to look at it over and over again when people just had to announce how cringe it was in the comments. They're teenagers, okay? Cut them some slack (and me too).

Hope you enjoyed!
