Chapter 89

Lucas's POV:

I got up a couple of times in the middle of the night with Maggie. I snuck in before Jaclyn could wake up. I wanted her to get as much sleep as she could. Plus I didn't mind the early morning cuddles while everyone slept.

Around 7 Vic got up and started getting ready for work. Around 8 I heard Maggie wake up. Before I could make it down the hall I heard Jaclyn get up.

Jaclyn: (soft, baby voice) Hi sweet girl.

I heard Maggie coo and kick her feet.

Jaclyn: Did you sleep good? Huh? Did you sleep good?

Maggie squealed in excitement. A few minutes later I heard her walk out of the room and down the hall.

Jaclyn: Let's go eat and call daddy. (baby voice) Yeah. Let's call daddy.

I smiled and went back to bed.

Jaclyn's POV:

After I got Maggie changed I went back into my room and fed her. Once I was settled I facetimed Tyler and talked to him.

Tyler: hey babe.
Jaclyn: hi baby.
Tyler: what are you up to?
Jaclyn: just feeding Maggie. What about you?
Tyler: nothing much. Have a couple radio interviews set up for today. Pretty chill day.
Jaclyn: good. I think I'm gonna take Maggie by the station later. Go see all of them.
Tyler: that's good. She eating?
Jaclyn: yeah.

I moved the camera so he could see her without showing my whole boob off. She went through a time where she didn't want to breast feed but she does some feeds now. She had a fistful of my shirt and was playing with it.

Tyler: (sighs) God, I miss you guys.
Jaclyn: we miss you too. Just a couple more days.
Tyler: I know. It already feels like an eternity.
Jaclyn: I know.

I switched Maggie around and kept talking to Tyler.

Tyler: how's she been sleeping?
Jaclyn: good. I think she woke up a couple times during the night.
Tyler: you think?
Jaclyn: she slept in Stella's room and I know dad got up with her. I'd hear him sneak in there.
Tyler: awww.
Jaclyn: yeah.

Once maggie was done eating I pulled my shirt back down and burped her. I laid her against my chest so Tyler could see her.

Jaclyn: (baby voice) is that daddy?
Tyler: (excited and smiling) hi sweetheart!

She smiled and stretched her arms out.

Tyler: what are you doing sweet girl? Huh?

She smiled and rubbed her face against my chest.

Jaclyn: thanks. Just what I wanted.
Tyler: (laughs) hey. I'd take snot wiped across my shirt right now.
Jaclyn: I know you would. Just a few more days babe.
Tyler: I know.

He ran his hand over his face and looked off in the distance.

Jaclyn: hey.

He looked back at me and had tears in his eyes.

Jaclyn: Mags is fine. I'm fine. Everything is fine babe.
Tyler: I know.

He quickly wiped his tears away.

Tyler: I just miss you guys.
Jaclyn: I know. We both miss you.

He nodded and looked away.

Tyler: I hate sleeping in a dead silent room.

He stopped and looked at me.

Tyler: I'm not just missing Mags, babe. I'm missing you. I thought about it the other day. We really haven't been apart from each other since we found out you were pregnant. I mean the few days you spent in Seattle but that's it.
Jaclyn: I guess you're right. Man. I didn't realize it had been that long.
Tyler: Yeah.
