Chapter 34

Jaclyn's POV:

I go back home today for a break from tour. We have a 2 month break from the road. When we go back Filmore and Runaway June will be on the road with me. When I landed back in Seattle I walked out with Tico and Tyler. While we were on tour Tyler's apartment flooded and he can't stay there so he's crashing with Tico for awhile. 

I had my backpack on and was dragging my suitcase behind me. I grabbed my phone to call dad (Lucas). We were turning a corner in the airport when I saw the whole station standing there with signs. I stopped and dropped my bag.

Jaclyn: You guys.

Dad (Jack) was holding a sign that said "Welcome Home!!", Dean had a sign that said "Congrats on selling out your first half of tour! Ice cream time!", Andy had a sign that said "What they said." which I laughed so freaking hard at. Abuelo had a sign that said "Welcome home mija.". I smiled and went over to them and gave them all hugs. Tico took a few pictures of all of us real quick.

Jaclyn: Aren't y'all supposed to be working!?
Ben: We kinda switched to night shift tonight so we could come surprise you.

I dropped my jaw in shock.

Jaclyn: No way. Y'all hate night shift.
Ben: But we love you.
Jaclyn: awww

I gave all of them hugs again and grabbed my bag from Tyler. Sullivan took my suitcase and rolled it to the car for me. When we got to the parking lot I got in the car with mom and dad with Tyler. 

Vic: So y'all are like official official right?
Jaclyn: (chuckles and smiles) Yes.
Vic: Awww. Yay

She turned around and we finished heading home. When we got to the house everyone was there. I got out and grabbed my suitcase from the trunk when Dean came walking up behind me and took it. 

Dean: And I'll take that.
Jaclyn: Thank you. 
Dean: So I've got something to tell you but I, of course, did not tell you.
Jaclyn: Of course.
Dean: Your dad and Maya broke up a few days ago.
Jaclyn: What!? Seriously?
Dean: Yeah. I heard it all go down. Just a heads up.
Jaclyn: Thanks.

We took all of our stuff inside. I grabbed my bags and took them to my room and saw what they did with it. 

Jaclyn: Mom!?
Vic: Yeah?
Jaclyn: Who did this?
Vic: Dads, Dean, Travis, Ben, and Sullivan.
Jaclyn: No way.
Vic: Yep. Andy and I painted it last week.
Jaclyn: It looks so good. Thank you!

They built ceiling high shelves on the wall that my bed is on for all of my music stuff and my awards so I can show them off. I put my bags up and changed really quick. I went back into the living room and saw Tyler standing with mom and dad (Lucas). I went over and wrapped my arm around the small of his back and stood next to him. 

A few minutes later Miranda, Ben, and Travis came over to us.

Jaclyn: Y'all this is my boyfriend Tyler. Tyler this is Travis. He works at the station and is moms best friend
Travis: Nice to meet you.
Tyler: Nice to meet you. 
Jaclyn: Then this is Ben and Miranda. Miranda is the Chief of Surgery at Grey Sloan and Ben used to be a surgeon there before he joined the station.
Ben: Nice to meet you man.
Tyler: Nice to meet you.
Miranda: Nice to meet you. You can call me Bailey.
Tyler: Nice to meet you. 
Travis: So how did you two meet? 

We both looked at each other and laughed.

Tyler: We first met when I was visiting Nashville for a writing session and met her and Tico in a cafe. We all hit it off from there and became friends from there. 
Jaclyn: It was about right before I moved in with Jack that we reconnected and have been in touch since then. We started dating about 3 weeks ago. 
Travis: So you were dating before tour started?
Jaclyn: Yep
