Chapter 79

Jaclyn's POV:

I woke up around 7 and made something to eat for breakfast. I was sitting on the couch eating a bagel when dad (lucas) came in. 

Lucas: Hey sweets.
Jaclyn: Hey dad. 

He came in and handed me a decaf coffee. 

Jaclyn: Thanks.
Lucas: No problem. 

He kicked his shoes off and sat down next to me. 

Lucas: So I heard about your visit to the station yesterday.
Jaclyn: (laughs) What part?
Lucas: You yelling at your mom, everyone playing with the doppler, then your mom apologizing.
Jaclyn: (looks over at him shocked) She apologized! I could have passed out. I was sooooo shocked. 
Lucas: (chuckles) I was low key shocked when she said she apologized to you.
Jaclyn: Did you just say low key?

He laughed and shook his head.

Jaclyn: (disgusted look) Dad.
Lucas: Don't even.
Jaclyn: (disgusted look) why are you so good at slang????? 
Lucas: I lived with you for almost 6 years. That is how I'm so good at it.

I died laughing. 

Jaclyn: Are you still coming next week?
Lucas: Well yes. 
Jaclyn: (giddy) I'm so excited. Everyone finally gets to see the house. I mean dad has seen it but that's it. 
Lucas: I'm ready. You freaking brat won't even show pictures.
Jaclyn: Well no! I want to see your reaction! 
Lucas: I feel like I'm gonna have an aneurysm when I see it. 
Jaclyn: Probably. 

I laughed and laid my head on his shoulder. We watched TV for awhile then I went to a board meeting with Robert. After the meeting we went to lunch then went back to the station. I was sitting in his office with him doing some board stuff. I was sitting there and slightly rubbing my belly as I read over some paper work.

Robert's POV:

We were sitting in my office going over some stuff. Jaclyn had her feet up on another chair and was reading over some paperwork on my laptop. I looked over and saw her rubbing her belly while she read over paperwork. I just smiled and went back to working on my spread sheets. 

When we were almost done with all of our stuff Andy came in. She wrapped her arms around Jaclyn from behind and kissed the top of her head.

Andy: How's my little momma doing?
Jaclyn: (chuckles) I'm good. 
Andy: How's my baby?
Jaclyn: Loving kicking my bladder and punching my ribs.
Andy: Ouch. You use to do that.
Jaclyn: Really?
Andy: All the time.

I was shocked. This was the first time I had ever heard Andy talk about when she was pregnant with Jaclyn. Honestly, sometimes I forget Vic isn't biologically her mom.

Andy: You loved beating up my ribs. 
Jaclyn: Well payback sucks. 

We all laughed. 

Jaclyn's POV:

Once I was done with the stuff at Robert's office I went back to my house and took a nap. I was almost asleep when Mer called me. 

Jaclyn: Yes?
Mer: Well hello to you too.
Jaclyn: I was almost asleep. 
Mer: Okay well I'm heading to your place.
Jaclyn: You better be ready to nap because I'm napping.
Mer: Welllll
Jaclyn: (groans) Merrrrr. I need a nap. 
Mer: Fine but I'm picking you up later.
Jaclyn: Okay. I just need like a hour and a half.
Mer: Okay. Then I'll be over. 
Jaclyn: Alright. Love you. 
Mer: Love you too.

I hung up and fell asleep. When I woke up I was laying in bed when Mer came in.

Mer: (chirp voice) Rise and shine my dear!!!
