Chapter 43

Lucas's POV:

I woke up around 6 and got ready to go pick up Tyler's parents from the airport. When I got there I found them and loaded their stuff into the car and took them to the hospital. When we got there I took them up to Tyler's room. When we got up there I saw Deluca.

Lucas: Hey Andrew
Deluca: Hey man
Lucas: These are Tyler's parents. Could you give them an update on him?
Deluca: Of course

He talked to them while I went into his room to check on Jaclyn. When I opened the door I saw Jaclyn asleep in the recliner next to him and holding his hand. I took a couple pictures of them then shut the door quietly. I walked back over to his parents and Deluca.

Deluca: Are they both asleep?
Lucas: Yeah
Deluca: Good. She's been up almost all night watching him. I finally convinced her to get some rest about a hour ago.

We all talked for a few minutes then we went into his room. I opened the door and held it open for them. They walked in and his mom stood at the end of his bed and asked me about the different bandages. I told her everything then she sat down on the couch. I was about to leave when Jaclyn woke up.

Lucas: Hey sug
Jaclyn: Hey

She sat up but closed her eyes again. Tyler moved and squeezed her hand. She rolled over and looked at him.

Jaclyn: How ya feeling?
Tyler: ehhh
Jaclyn: Do ya need anything?
Tyler: My water.

She got up and grabbed it from next to the sink.

Jaclyn: Here
Tyler: Thanks

He took a drink then ran his hand over his face then went to rub it over his head when she grabbed it.

Jaclyn: Easy. Remember your incision.

He sighed and laid back. Jaclyn yawned and ran her hands over her face.

Lucas: Why don't ya let me take you home? You can shower and get some rest.
Jaclyn: I'm fine.
Lucas: Hey. He's okay. His parents are here and Deluca is here.

She sighed and stretched.

Jaclyn: Fine

She got up and folded her blanket up then grabbed her bag. She went over to Tyler and leaned down to give him a kiss. He wrapped his arm around her waist and gave her a kiss.

Jaclyn: I'll be back later. Get some rest.
Tyler: I will and you too.
Jaclyn: I will. Remember Andrew's gonna make you walk today.

He rolled his eyes and sighed.

Tyler: I know.
Jaclyn: Do you need or want me to bring you anything back?
Tyler: No. Will you just swing by my place and check on it.
Jaclyn: Yep.
Tyler: Thanks
Jaclyn: Anytime. Call me if you need anything.
Tyler: Will do. Love you.
Jaclyn: love you too.

She gave him another kiss then we left. We weren't even half way home when she fell asleep. I called Vic and talked to her while I drove home. When I got back to the house I got Jaclyn out and got her inside. She went and took a shower and when she was done came back out. She sat on the couch next to me and laid on my shoulder.

Lucas: Let's go lay down in bed.

She nodded and got up. We went into my room and laid down. Once she was asleep I got up and slid out of bed carefully. I went into my office and did some work while she slept.

A few hours later

I heard the door unlock and heard Vic come in.
