Chapter 55

Jaclyn's POV:

It's been a couple days since dad (Jack) and I got into our argument. I spent a couple days at his house to spend more time with him. When he left for work I headed home to go change before meeting Deluca and Mer at the gym. When I got home mom was gone. I guess dad had taken Stella to the sitters so he could work. He's been working with Trisha and the rest of my management team about setting up my album release week. I've got almost all of it done. I have two more songs to finish for the album. 

I walked into my room and saw a huge bouquet of flowers. I walked in and grabbed the card attached to it. "I'm sorry for snapping at you that night. I know you were just trying to help. Please come back. I miss you. Love, Tyler". I smiled with tears in my eyes. I took a picture of them and sent them to him saying thank you. I got dressed then headed to the gym. When I got there I waited in my car for Deluca and Mer to show up. Once they got there we went inside and got on the treadmills.

Jaclyn: Any new updates?
Deluca: I overheard Jo making a comment to Link about having a date tonight. 
Jaclyn: Really!?
Deluca: Yeah. She won't say who it is but...
Mer: I have Amelia in on this too so she can get stuff from Link since they are like best friends. She said that Link told her that Jo was spending more time with this mystery guy. 
Jaclyn: Hmm. 
Mer: Has Jack said anything yet?
Jaclyn: No. We got into an argument a couple days ago so I don't feel like he'd say anything right now.   
Deluca: Everything okay with you two?
Jaclyn: Oh yeah. We are good now. I'll tell y'all at lunch when there's less people.
Deluca: Gotcha.

We finished our runs on the treadmill. Deluca did the resistance band workout with me. It's where we tie it around me and he stands inside of it to actually give me resistance. About a hour later we left and headed to lunch. Once we ordered lunch I caught them up on my plan and everything that's going on.

Mer: Well dang girl. 

Deluca leaned over and gave me a high five.

Mer: Proud of you. That isn't an easy decision to make. 
Deluca: Not at all. 
Jaclyn: Thanks.

We sat and caught up while we ate lunch. After lunch I decided to go home. I wasn't feeling too hot so I wanted to go home and rest. When I got back I saw that dads car was there. I parked and went inside. I sat down near the door and was taking my shoes off when dad came in.

Lucas: Hey.
Jaclyn: Hey.
Lucas: Whatcha doing? 
Jaclyn: I just got back from a work out then lunch with Mer and Deluca.
Lucas: Fun.
Jaclyn: I'm gonna go lay down for a bit.
Lucas: Okay. You feeling okay?
Jaclyn: After lunch I just started to feel kinda bleh. I'm gonna change then lay down for a bit.
Lucas: Okay. Yell if you need anything.
Jaclyn: Will do.

I picked up my shoes and went into my room. I put my stuff away then changed. I put on a pair of sweats and a tank top. I grabbed my phone and crawled into bed. I was almost asleep when Tyler called me.

Jaclyn: Hello?
Tyler: Hey. Whatcha doing? 
Jaclyn: Laying down.
Tyler: Oh okay.
Jaclyn: Why? What's up?
Tyler: I thought about going for a hike and was gonna see if you wanted to go with.
Jaclyn: I would but after my work out with Mer and Deluca then lunch I just started to feel like crap. Rain check?
Tyler: Of course. Do you need anything?
Jaclyn: I don't think so. I'm just gonna rest and see if that helps.
Tyler: Alright. Let me know if you need anything. Love you.
Jaclyn: Love you too. 

I hung up and laid my phone down. 

Tyler's POV:

After I hung up with Jaclyn I decided to go over and check on her. I stopped and grabbed her a sprite and some crackers on my way over. Before I headed over I texted Lucas to make sure the place would be unlocked. When I got there I opened the front door and saw him walking into the kitchen.
