Chapter 56

Jaclyn's POV:

It's been a few weeks since I got sick. I've been working on everything going on with Maya and the new Chief. I hired the best lawyer I could find and he's from DC. I've been working with him on the low since before I got sick with food poisoning.

Today I'm meeting him at an office in the recording studio I work at. I was in my room getting dressed when mom came in.

Vic: Hey. Are you sure you don't want me to come?
Jaclyn: No. It's fine. It's just a bunch of legal crap and we are getting a game plan. I need you to go to work and get those letters.
Vic: Okay.
Jaclyn: I don't want it to look suspicious.
Vic: Okay.
Jaclyn: But I'll call you once it's over.
Vic: Alright. Love you.
Jaclyn: Love you too.

I finished getting dressed then left. When I got to the office I met him downstairs and we went upstairs.

Jordan: So I just want to get into it. This is everything he's done?
Jaclyn: Yes. I have all of the proof and everything I have.

He took the documents and looked them over.

Jordan: How all knows about this?
Jaclyn: It's just my parents then Robert the battalion chief I was telling you about.
Jordan: So is our plan ready?
Jaclyn: Almost. My mom is getting the last few letters today then they all will be ready.
Jordan: Okay. Are we still bringing this up to the Mayor.
Jaclyn: Yes. I want her in on it. She's a family friend and all the health services in this city mean a lot to her. So once we have our plan set I want to bring it to her.
Jordan: Okay. Give me about a hour to go through these then I'll have our legal plan and everything set up.
Jaclyn: Okay. I have some stuff to do also. I'm gonna make a coffee run then come back. Do you want anything?
Jordan: Yeah.

I grabbed my stuff and left to go get coffee. When I came back I handed him his and sat down with mine and did some last minute planning for album release week. I was rereading my posts I have premade when Jordan finished up.

Jordan: Alright. Here's what I have.

I took the papers and read them and went over them.

Jaclyn: Sounds good to me.
Jordan: When is this going down?
Jaclyn: Tomorrow. I can meet with the Mayor today.
Jordan: Okay. I'll come with you.

I texted her and said we were heading over. When we got there we went right up to her office.

Jaclyn: Hi Bridgett!
Bridgett: Hello Miss Jaclyn!
Jaclyn: This is my lawyer Jordan.
Bridgett: Nice to meet you.
Jordan: Nice to meet you.

We sat down and caught her up on everything and told her our plans.

Jaclyn: I still want to pursue the charges but we aren't telling him when we have our meeting with him tomorrow.
Bridgett: Alright. It sounds good to me. You've planned it out very well. Applause on that.
Jaclyn: Thank you.

We finished up talking to her then left.

Jaclyn: I'll text you on a time for tomorrow.
Jordan: Alright. I'll see you in the morning.
Jaclyn: Thank you so much.
Jordan: Anytime.

I got in my car and headed to the station. When I got there I went in and carried my purse in. I met mom upstairs and put the letters in my purse.

Vic: How did it go?
Jaclyn: Good. Our plan is falling into place. We are doing it tomorrow morning.
Vic: Alright. We all will be there.
Jaclyn: Appreciate it.
Vic: We all appreciate it.

I smiled and left. I went to Tylers and changed out of my dress clothes. I put my hair up in a pony tail and went back into the living room. He was at the gym working out with Tico so I made some lunch then laid on the couch and watched some TV.
