The sun was already slowly dipping low into the water by the time you and Bakugou had unpacked, gotten changed, and finally made your way out to walk along the beach barefoot. It was still rather hot but it wasn't something that bothered you, instead it felt a bit more comforting knowing you were on an island away from everyone. With both of your phones locked in the hotel room, all notifications silenced, it was something the both of you needed desperately.

Your hair was loosely tied up as the breeze went through the small strands hanging on your face along with the soft sundress that was clinging to your body. Beside you, Bakugou looked somewhat out of place, in a good way of course, his shirt was unbuttoned halfway down, sunglasses on, walking with a relaxed posture you barely ever saw back home.

The scar on his chest glistened in the sunset, making your heart throb just slightly at the painful memory of what caused that.

"Didn't even know you own a shirt like that." You teased, bumping your shoulder into his arm.

"Never had a reason to wear it until now." He playfully rolled his eyes under his dark sunglasses.

"You definitely look like a retired young hero trying to start a brand new life." You pointed out.

"Shut up," he laughed, tugging on your wrist.

"You know you love it." He added shortly after.

A smile crept on your face, nodding your head slowly. You did love it, you loved the calm in his shoulders, the way his voice was softer out here, how the edges of his anger had been dulled by the sound of waves and distance from everything that haunted both of you. It was like walking into a different dimension, a different world where you two are normal humans with no quirks.

As he led you further down the beach, something afar had caught your eye. A private dinner that was set up just off the edge of the beach. Candles flickering in the wind, the scent of grilled seafood and citrus filling the air. You glanced up at him, his sunglasses rested on the top of his blonde hair and a cheesy smile on his face at the little surprise.

"Come on, I know you're hungry." He murmured, tugging you along to the small table for two.

He let you sit down first, pulling the chair out and helping you scoot in before settling in across from you. A bottle of wine sat in a silver bucket with ice and without hesitation he had poured the both of you a cup and slid yours closer.

"Try it. You'll like it." He encouraged you to try a sip but you couldn't help but raise your eyebrows.

"You don't even drink wine." You pointed out, slowly grabbing the wine glass.

"I don't, but you do. And I asked the guy what would pair best with fire-roasted fish, so don't be ungrateful," he grumbled, cheeks a bit red.

"You really went all out for this trip, huh?" You teased, seeing the flush in his cheeks as he tried to brush it off as if he wasn't completely flustered.

"You deserve it." Was all he said back.

Finally, you took a small sip of your glass, the rich but sweet flavored consumed your tongue. This was definitely a more expensive wine, you could tell just by the taste and flavor but you didn't want to push your boyfriends buttons about spending a lot, the room was proof enough that he is making sure this trip is the best one for it being your first one.

The dinner passed in a dream, no talk of anything that related to back home or work or quirks. Just a few stories from the past, teasing each other about some things that happened at UA like when Bakugou had tried to one up you during training and ending up tripping over his own feet and landed right on his face in front of everyone.
