A/N: prob the longest chapter I've written so far but I do want to make these last few chapters long and enjoyable enough to end on a good note.
Also this chapter is full of lemon so a warning to those who don't want to read it. 🙃
Another month passed as June and the summer heat came into play, the routine remained the same as you stayed at home while Bakugou worked. You added some new things though, and that included a gazebo. Something that came to mind when you stared at the back right corner of the yard, a plain looking site that included a bush or two.
Then you moved on to fully doing the back porch the way you dreamt about one random night and somehow turned it into a reality. Bakugou was amazed at the fact that you did everything yourself but knew that once you were set on something, you'll get it done as soon as possible.
And that's what happened.
The both of you have brought up the whole 'marry me' incident he threw on you and yes, you now stood in the kitchen after cooking some dinner with a solid ring sliding back onto your left ring finger. He randomly came home with it one day, said it felt wrong that you didn't have one just yet.
He came home from work, holding a bouquet of flowers just for you. It took you a whole 10 minutes of fixing them up to realize there was a velvet box sitting on top of them but he watched patiently, waiting until you caught onto it.
And even though he didn't present some grand proposal, he definitely did it in his very own Bakugou way and that was short, sweet, abrupt and to the point. But it still left you emotional and filled with something you couldn't exactly name.
The locks turned at the front door, opening up to reveal your fiancé in a simple outfit, probably leaving his hero suit back at work in his locker. He kicked his boots off by the door and called out your name to see where you were at.
"Kitchen!" You called out to him, adjusting the ring on your finger as you watched him step in and lean against the doorway.
You saw the smudge of black around his eyes, his ruffled matted hair that was most likely from a battle and his broad scarred arms crossed over his chest, giving you a soft look but the way he stood made everything ignite within your body, your cheeks turning a shade of red in minutes.
"And why didn't you come greet me at the door?" He raised his eyebrow, remaining in his spot.
"Oh? So I should be greeting you every time you come home?" You asked in amusement, leaning your hip against the counter.
"Oh yeah, every single time." He straightened up, stepping to where you stood and planted his hands on the counter, trapping you between it and his body.
The scent of him hit you first — smoke, cedar, and that faint metallic tang of adrenaline that always lingered after long patrols. His presence filled the room, magnetic and overwhelming in the way only Bakugou could be.
You blinked up at him, pretending to be unimpressed even as your pulse quickened. "You want me to greet you like some kind of housewife from the '50s?"
He leaned in closer, his voice low, teasing. "Tch. Don't see what's wrong with that. I work my ass off so the least you could do is say welcome home."
You scoffed, eyes flicking to the faint smudge of ash near his jaw. "I literally cooked you dinner."
"Yeah," he muttered, grin twitching. "But dinner don't kiss me."
Your breath caught as his smirk softened into something else entirely. His hand came up, tracing the line of your jaw, thumb grazing your bottom lip. "Missed you today."
