Omg three chapter in one day! I'm spoiling y'all!

Angie's POV

I've been waiting for this day. I've been waiting for so long. Today my alarm was Love Thy Neighbor. I danced my way around my room as I got dressed. I packed by bag and went to the kitchen.

"There's my daughter." Matt said. He handed me a bagel and kissed my head.

"You've been saying that since yesterday." I laughed.

"Because I'm very happy."

"I am too." Sam came out of their room with Dale at her legs. "Even Dale is happy. You are here to stay and you aren't leaving."

"Who's picking me up today?" I asked, munching on the bagel.

"Nobody. We trust you to get from the Longacre Theatre to the Brooks Atkinson. It's not too far. And you can take the subway. Just don't listen to music on the Subway and be aware. Nobody could come to get you today." Sam sipped some coffee.

I nodded. "I'll be okay."

"Have fun at The Prom today!" Matt called as me and Sam left the apartment. It was eight o'clock, and Sam and I were going to run errand before she took me to the Longacre theatre.

We went grocery shopping, and Sam stopped our taxi outside of the Longacre and said goodbye before taking the taxi back home.

I took a deep breath before pushing open the doors. I found my way to the stage where the cast of The Prom was talking.

Isabelle McCalla was the first person to notice me. "You must be Angie! You're our fourth intern!"

I couldn't speak. Was I dreaming?

Then I was being guided to the stage and I stood on the set. "Holy musical theatre." I thought.

"What was that?" Caitlin Kinnunen asked.

"Did I say that out loud? Sorry, it's just that this is one of my favorite musicals."

"What's your favorite character?" Beth Leavel asked me.

"Alyssa." I said shyly.

Isabelle beamed. "Oh my goodness that's me!"

Caitlin laughed. "Feeling a bit left in the dust."

Angie Schworer smiled as well. "Your name is Angie like me! And like Angie!"

"Well my actual name is Angel. I go by Angie because I like The Prom so much."

"You named yourself after me!" Angie Schworer clapped her hands.

"Well, your arrival certainly caused a splash. What's your favorite number?" Christopher Sieber asked.

"Well, I love all of them. But Love Thy Neighbor is my alarm, Unruly Heart I have to give my love to, I'm a bit biased and I love Alyssa Greene," I paused, "I'm going with my original answer of all of them."

"Sing a song from the show!" Isabelle said.

"Izzy she just got here! We should explain how this week is going to work." Caitlin countered.

"Oh right. So this week, we've decided that it's really going to be about the choreography. Some of it is insane, and if you can master choreography, you can really book some nice ensemble roles that could help take off your career. And on top of that, it's important to be able to sing while doing choreography, so we'll be helping you do that as well. You'll be seeing the show tonight, and we'll have someone with you, because your mother sent us an email saying is you have to stay later you need to have someone with you." Isabelle explained.

I covered my face with my hands. "Sounds like my Mama. Mom wouldn't do that."

"You have two mothers?" Beth asked.

"Well I'm recently adopted. I was legally adopted yesterday by Andrea Macasaet and Samantha Pauly."

Their eyes went wide. "You're adopted by Broadway stars?!" Brooks Ashmanskas cried.

I nodded. "Where should I put my things?"

Isabelle put her arm around me. "You can put them in my dressing room. Let's give you a tour!" I was taken around backstage. Finally arriving at Isabelle's dressing room, I set my Playbill bag down.

"Can I sign your bag?" Isabelle asked.

"I'm asking every show I intern at to sign."

"Hey everyone! Come sign Angie's bag!" Isabelle jokingly whispered.

I giggled. "I've been saving this spot for you." I admitted, showing her the top right corner, that had a large area of empty space.

Isabelle smiled. "That's very kind. I'm honored." She took a Sharpie and wrote a message before signing a large playbill signature.

On the stage, I was taken by the ensemble and minor role actors.

"Hey, Kayln and this is Becca. We play Shelby and Kaylee. We'll be showing you choreography from You Happened, and then tomorrow we'll teach you Tonight Belongs to You."

They first showed me. They started the song from Spotify, then took their places. They didn't sing along, but they acted it out and danced along. I'd be an ensemble girl.

They began teaching me, slowly. "Take your time there's plenty of hours in the week." Becca told me when I messed up on a step for the third time.

"Fourth time's the charm." Kayln added.

Finally I managed to do it. They swapped out an ensemble girl for me, and started running the number. This time it was a karaoke track.

"You know the words right?" Kayln asked right before starting the music.

I nodded. "I can do it." That was mostly for myself.

"What's going on?"

"Nick's got a promposal all planned out for Kaylee. She's gonna freak out!"

I first started standing over to the side, because the male dancers were the ones backing up Nick, but when it was Shelby's turn to get promposed to, I was dancing with maracas.

I kept up with the dancer beside me, managing to do the steps in my head before doing them. And I sang while doing it. Then I had to keep dancing and resist the urge to stop and watch Caitlin and Isabelle sing.

Once the song was over, Becca and Kayln ran over to me. "You did amazing!" Becca cried. "You're so talented!"

"Okay! We're going to take a water break and then we can work on singing while dancing." Caitlin told me.

It was a rush. I sat with the cast while drinking from my reusable water bottle that Samantha insisted I get. She didn't like buying disposable ones.

After the water break, Isabelle worked with me on Alyssa Greene, while everybody practiced the dance break in Tonight Belongs to You.

"We'll keep practicing tomorrow. We have to start getting ready for the show." Isabelle said after a little while.

"I'll be keeping you company." Kayln told me, while everyone else started hair and makeup.

"Aren't you a named role? I don't think you have an understudy."

"Well for today, we're having an ensemble girl step in for me. We've changed the dance formations a bit so that it doesn't look weird."

"You're changing the show for me?" I asked.

"No! Just the dance breaks."

We sat in the audience and I watched people file in.

The lights dimmed. The overture started.

"It's Olivia Keating of Broadway Mania."

I sat wide eyed the whole time. I didn't think it was real.

Then during You Happened, Becca winked at me, and I realized it was real. I was fulfilling my dream of seeing one of my favorite musicals live.

It was amazing.
