Angie's POV

Taylor had called me and Bianca out for brunch to break some news to us.

"Hi girls." She smiled warmly at us.

"Hi Taylor." I gave her a quick hug and sat down with a cup of coffee.

Bianca smiled timidly, she was still shy around Taylor. "It's nice to see you."

"You as well Bianca."

Once we'd ordered, Taylor gave us the news. "Girls, unfortunately, The Prom is going to close on Broadway."

We both gasped. "Why!" I exclaimed.

"You didn't let me finish. They're closing because they can't find anyone to be cast into the ensemble."

"Kayln and Becca's contracts are ending soon." I thought aloud.

"That's right. The leads are extending their contracts until further notice, and they are holding auditions. I got both of you girls auditions. For Shelby and Kaylee."

We gripped each other's hands and jumped up and down.

"Thank you Taylor!" Bianca said. "This is like a one in a million opportunity!"

The audition was coming up, but Bianca and I were prepared. We had audition songs ready, and had enough excitement and nerves for a small town.

The day of the audition, I was happy to recognize so many people from my internship. I felt at ease as I auditioned, and I could tell Bianca felt at ease as well.

We waited anxiously for the call. After three days, I was doing homework at the countertop, when my phone started ringing.

"It's Taylor!" I cried. Sam and Matt came running into the room.

"Answer it!" Matt cried.

I shakily answered the FaceTime. "Hi Angie." Taylor said, with a blank expression on her face.

"I didn't get the part did I?"

"You..got Kaylee!"

I started crying happily. "Really! I'm in a Broadway show!!!"

Taylor nodded. She watched Sam and Matt hug me. "And you're going to be Alyssa's understudy."

I cried happily. "I can't believe it! Thank you so much Taylor!"

"You did it all by yourself Angie. I have to go call Bianca. You'll find out what's happened with her in a minute."

A couple minutes later Bianca had news of her becoming Shelby and a swing for Emma, Alyssa, and Mrs. Greene.

And then a few minutes later we were texted out rehearsal schedules.

"I have like a month to learn everything and then I have my first show." I said. "Great! I did this for Into the Woods, which is Sondheim and I know I can do this."

And the next week was filled with frantic running around and getting homework done during rehearsals while I wasn't needed. Making sure I had sleep and food to live.

But honestly, I wouldn't change it for the world.
