Okay, so no offense to those who favor the OG cast of Dear Evan Hansen, but the fact that literal teenagers had so much talent as to be in such a beloved Broadway show. So, Andrew Feldman and Mallory Bechtel.

Angie's POV

Today I was interning at Dear Evan Hansen. Janelle happened to be the biggest fan, so at six thirty in the morning, my bedroom door opened, and in bounded my energetic girlfriend, who happens to be way to awake at six thirty.

"Angie wake up!" She shook me until I fell out of bed and landed awake on the floor.

"Ellie! It's to early." I groaned, and lifted myself back into my bed and waved her away.

It didn't work.

"You're interning at Dear Evan Hansen today! How could you not be excited!"

"Who let you in anyway?" I turned over.

"I did. Songbird you start school soon, and you need to be able to get up earlier so you won't be late." Sam stood in the doorway.

Finally, after ten minutes of Janelle's nagging, I got out of bed, and started getting ready. "Why are you even here?"

"Well, you weren't up, otherwise you'd have seen the texts I'd sent you, so I texted your mom instead. She said she'd let me in at six thirty to help wake you up. Plus it's Dear Evan Hansen!" I finally woke up enough to register that Janelle had her hair up like Zoe, and was wearing her sweatshirt from when she saw it with the OBC a while ago.

"Fine. I'll be out in a second." I called as Janelle left the room, because she could smell something from the kitchen.

I got dressed, and trudged through the apartment, and plopped onto the couch like a potato.

"Songbird, breakfast is ready." Sam called.

"Come and get it or I'll eat it all!" Matt teased.

I plopped into a chair, and closed my eyes.

Sam sighed and fluffed my hair. "Songbird, you have to stay awake."

"But Mom. It's so early."

"Honey, six fifty is not early. I know it's hard but you're going to have to start getting up a lot earlier."

"I don't even have to be at the theatre until ten! Dad back me up!"

Matt chuckled. "Sorry Songbird. You start school soon. Listen to your mother."

"Dad you're supposed to me on my side!" Sam gave me a hug from behind.

Janelle smiled.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked.

"It's good to see you happy again. With a family. You were so unhappy for so long. I worried about you you know."

"Thanks Ellie." Sam sets a plate of waffles in front of me.

After a little while, Janelle dragged me out the door, and into the bright and early New York day. We rode the subway until we arrived at the Music Box theatre.

"Bye Ellie." I let go of her hand and started to make my way to the stage door.

"Um no." She clung to me. "I'm staying with you."

"I don't think this is allowed."

"Who cares it's Dear Evan Hansen."

"Ellie I'm serious. I don't think I'm going to be able to bring you with me."

"Why can't we just try?!" She gives me her puppy dog eyes.

"Fine." I give her a quick kiss. "I'm going to go buzz in."
