Spilled Guts

Mikayla discovered that you never realise how long you spend attending classes until you can't go to them. Mikayla napped for about 30 minutes, Lupin popped in to check on her and Avery not long after she woke up and Mikayla has been going stir crazy since. Avery was still sleeping but Mikayla just couldn't turn her brain off, she was stressing about what she was going to say to her friends. In an attempt to change her pace, she downed the pumpkin juice left on her bedside table which was a little bitter and decided that she wanted to walk around the hospital wing to stretch her legs. Mikayla tried to stand up but ultimately her body failed her.

She crashed to the floor, overcoming with a wave dizziness and nausea as she spews up her guts, she felt a sharp pain in her right side. "H-H-help!" Mikayla tries to call but she felt herself losing consciousness and shaking uncontrollably, as she moved to lay on her back, hoping it would relieve the pain. "HELP!" She heard a distorted voice yell as her vision started to get spotty. Mikayla felt herself starting to vomit again, but due to lying on her back she started to choke, Mikayla's eyes rolled to the back of her head and her whole body stilled.

Avery's POV

I woke up when I heard a loud crash, I blink away my drowsiness looking around confused as to why the room is so empty, that's when I heard her, "h-h-help!" Her voice was barely above a whisper, but it was enough to snap me into actions. I jump out of bed discovering Mikayla lying in her own sick, shaking uncontrollably. "HELP!" I screamed as I crumbled to my sisters' side, "HELP SOMEONE!" Madam Pomfrey came running from her office as Lupin coomes running from outside the hospital wing. "What happened?" Lupin asked me but I felt a panic attack coming, "I, I, I don't know, I w-was asleep and just heard a, a loud n-oise and her calling for h-h-help." I was hyperventilating as I watch Madam Pomfrey rushing around looking for more materials.

"What's wrong? I-Is she going to be okay?" I asked, my whole body was shaking Lupin offered me the glass of pumpkin juice that was on Mikayla's bedside table. It didn't take long before it hit, I collapsed and started writhing in pain, turning onto my side as my breakfast decided to revisit by erupting onto the floor. I felt a sharp pain in my side, cradling it as tears poured out of my eyes, sobbing loudly. "Avery, can you hear me?" a distorted voice asked me, I nodded my head, "I need you to open your mouth to give you the help you." I hadn't realised I had been gritting my teeth like my life depended on it. My mouth shot open and a bezoar was shoved down my throat. My eyes rolled back before everything went dark.

Third Person's POV

Remus lifted the two unconscious into their beds once they stopped seising. "How did someone get poison in here?!" Madam Pomfrey exclaims looking at Remus for answers, "when I arrived to take over Mundungus was asleep. I checked in the girls, and both were unharmed, so I resumed my post." Madam Pomfrey was livid at the news that one of the people supposed to be protecting the girls fell asleep on the job, she sent Peppy to get Dumbledore. Whilst waiting for Dumbledore to arrive Lupin and Madam Pomfrey disposed of all food and drink from the hospital, ruling as suspicious of poison.

What the matron and Lupin didn't expect Ron, Hermione, Harry, Ginny, Parvati, Tracey, Brian and Daphne walk into the Hospital Wing with Dumbledore as Winky was cleaning the sick off the floor. "What happened?" Ron jumped right into worry mode at the sight of the pale girls and the sick on the floor. "Poisoned!" Madam Pomfrey exclaimed in a anger filled voice, "care to explain Remus?" Dumbledore asked Lupin, "Mundungus was asleep on the job when I arrived Headmaster, someone must've snuck passed him. It was in Mikayla's pumpkin juice which I accidentally gave to Avery as she was panicking without knowing that it was poisoned. We've binned all the food and drinks left for the girls and in the Hospital Wing cupboards just in case." Lupin rambles out to Dumbledore as the kids split to sit with the unconscious girls.
