Mikayla's heart stopped for a second when the door flung open, revealing Fergal being restrained by two buff looking Aurors, he was thrashing madly but froze the second his eyes landed on Mikayla. "Oh, you've got some nerve showing up here, Mikayla, must've got that from your bastard of a father." Fergal spat, Mikayla silently held his gaze as the Aurors moved him closer to her before chaining him down to the chair across from her. "Oh for Merlin's sake, can we skip all the insults and death threats, I don't want to be here any longer than I need to be." Mikayla said tirelessly, as if she was completely bored by their exchange instead of absolutely terrified.

"Why are you here?" He asks, the thought of asking such a question seemed to just dawn on him that she's clearly there for a reason, "I want something you have, I'm here to get it." Mikayla explained casually, breaking eye contact to yawn while looking at her nails. "And you think I'm just going to hand it over to you?" He spat a lump of spit at Mikayla's face, Mikayla just rolled her eyes before wiping the spit off. "I'm sorry... I don't remember giving you a choice, Fergal." Mikayla smirked as Fergal's eyes darkened into a hateful glare.

"You think you're so strong now, huh? You become friends with Harry Potter, and suddenly you think you're worth something. You're worthless, absolutely useless to everyone and no one could ever love you." Mikayla chuckled at Fergal's words, "I mean... I'm the one who is free and you're the one rotting in here. How come your little sadistic batshit crazy friends haven't come to get you yet, huh? Is it because you no longer hold any value now that Avery is gone and I'm no longer scared of you? Mmh?!" Fergal lunged forward, trying to grab me but the chains hold him back.

Mikayla looks over at Robards, "oops, seems like I've struck a nerve..." She comments with a proud smile on her lips. "You killed her! She's dead because of you! You tainted her with your bad blood traitor ideals!" Fergal screamed in her face, Mikayla simply stood from her chair. "No, Avery died because you made a deal with the devil. A Blood Vow with your own bloody daughter to convince him that your loyalty wasn't wavering, to save your own life, you sacrificed Avery's." Mikayla responded leaning against the double side mirror, she knew there was a lot of people on the other side, she just needs to prove her allegiance. "LIES! My loyalty to the Dark Lord was never questioned."

Mikayla tutted slowly while simultaneously shaking her head, "yes it was. You wanted out, you had too much to lose, and I would've admired you if you actually got out. Avery would still be alive if you hadn't handed her over to Voldemort, you took away her choice. She wanted to fight with me, with the Weasleys, with Harry and Dumbledore. She wanted to be good and you took that away from her, she killed herself because she didn't want to become the same monster you did." This time when Fergal lunged, his chains broke and he tackled her to the ground.

Mikayla tried to physically get away from him, fighting him back. His hands wrapped around her neck, "I'll kill you, I'LL KILL YOU!" He roared while Mikayla silently put him into a powerful body bind curse, "so you keep you saying..." Mikayla got to her feet slightly panting and sending a dirty look over at Robards, who didn't even pull out his wand yet to intervene. "But I'm still standing, Fergal. And you're laying at my feet." Mikayla taunted before straightening her outfit, "now, there's been enough chit chat. It's time to for me to get what I came for and leave you to rot here like you deserve to."

Mikayla pulled a vial out of her pocket before placing her right pointer finger on Fergal's forehead, he quickly understood what exactly she was after, but it was too late to stop her. He couldn't even if he wanted to, her body bind curse was too strong to break himself. She made sure to block what she was doing from the onlookers on the other side of the double sided mirror, not needing Voldemort to read what she took in the Daily Prophet. Mikayla finds the memory after a minute of searching before slowly moving her finger away from his forehead with a silvery memory strand attached to it. She drops the strand into the vial, before putting a stopper in it and slide it into her bag.

"You're going to lose, Mikayla! The Dark Lord will destroy you." Fergal threatens after Mikayla alters his memory so he doesn't know what she took from him, before she slowly got to her feet again, "if I have to die to save everyone else, then it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make, my death will be worth something, will yours?" Mikayla stated as she noticed that Robards was staring at her in shock, but Mikayla just brushed the dirt off her clothes. "You think you're some kind of hero? That you and your little friends are going to do anything other than get yourselves slaughtered?!" Fergal questioned, but it was Robards who answered him.

"I think a hero is anyone whose true intent is making the world a better place for everyone. Someone who steps up when everyone else backs down. And I believe Miss Black and her friends have everything they need to become heroes as long as people like you exist, Mr O'Brien." Mikayla looked at him confused, but still sent him a nod of admiration. "Truth is Fergal, we do not fear death like your dear old Voldemort. We fear living in a world where every magical being in our world is not equal. We fear the destruction your little cult will cause if no one fights against you, and you should fear us. Because we will never stop until there is freedom for all, even if it kills us."

With that Mikayla walked out of the room, she ignored the shouting questions, flashing cameras and death threatening screams of Fergal as he's being escorted to his cell. Instead, she sent her Patronus to Dumbledore's office, walking out of the prison to the same spot that he had dropped her off. The harsh wind slapped against her skin, leaving red blotchy marks on the apples of her cheeks and the bulb of her nose. Her lungs struggle to combat against the vengeful force of the gusts. The chill freezing the tears that slowly trailed down her cheeks, as she could no longer pretend that she was okay, that she was in control, that seeing his sullen face again didn't send an immense amount of fear through her entire being.

Dumbledore and Mikayla didn't speak a word to each other, Mikayla just silently accepted his waiting arm and handed over the memory. Dumbledore admitted that it might take him a little while to figure out how exactly to get the Horcrux that Fergal was aware of, and asked her not to alert her friends that she had retrieved it. Mikayla refused the request knowing that by tomorrow morning all of Britain will know about her trip to Azkaban, and she wants to tell them the whole truth before everything gets out of hand.

After telling Dumbledore her intentions, Mikayla left the office with a heavy metaphorical cloud looming over her as she stalked back to Gryffindor Tower. She made sure to only use secret passage ways, avoiding the regular bustle of the corridors before dinner. When Mikayla arrived at Gryffindor Tower, she mumbled the password to the Fat Lady, before stepping into the common room. "M? Where have you been? I went to the library looking for you but you weren't there." Hermione bombarded her immediately, moving to place a hand on Mikayla's shoulder, but before she could Mikayla instinctively flinched away from her best friend's touch.

A series of different emotions flashed across Hermione's face at Mikayla's rejection of her touch, Mikayla was trembling as her head moved from every face that had turned to look at her and this warranted Hermione to understand that the girl needed to get out of the common room as soon as possible. "Boys, is your dormitory free?" Hermione asked resulting in l Harry and Ron looking up before rushing to their feet and confirming that the four of them can go to their dormitory. Hermione slowly wrapped an arm around Mikayla's shaking shoulders, this time Mikayla did not flinch, but allowed Hermione to aid her towards the stairs to the boy's dormitories. Harry led the way while Ron followed behind the two girls, to block them out of view from the nosy Gryffindor occupants.

A/N: Felt like y'all deserved a few chapters for my silence. I'm still getting used to finding time to write on my days off but working in a toy shop with Christmas around the corner is quite tough. But I'm trying my best, and I appreciate all the patience you've all given me during this hectic time!
