Yesterday after Gawain Robards stormed out of WWN studio, and their family celebratory meal in Carmella's. Mikayla, Ginny, Ron, Harry and Hermione returned to the castle. During dinner that night, Dumbledore asked the other students to not bother anyone who was taking state exams this year. He informed them that the schedule for exams will be posted soon in their common rooms as everyone's lunch and dinner will be changed slightly due to the exams using the Great Hall. Hermione enforced Dumbledore's request by sending Ginny to the library and forcing Mikayla to study alone in their dorm room as she, Harry and Ron did their DADA homework.
"Has Mikayla even told any of you what subjects she's taking?" Hermione asked breathlessly after escorting the blonde upstairs. Harry shook his head no immediately, Mikayla hasn't mentioned her actual subjects to him but he knew that she was doing a lot. "Yeah, we were talking about it the other day after I offered to test her on what she's struggling with. She's 14 subjects: Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Potions, Herbology, Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures, Advanced Arithmancy, Astronomy, Divination, History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Ancient Studies, and Xylomancy." Ron lists out while counting the subjects on his hand to make sure he said each one. "I don't understand why she's putting herself through so much stress by picking up extra subjects." Seamus comments after overhearing Ron's list, "well... she is a genius after all." Parvati counters as she too was eavesdropping on the trio's conversation.
Their conversation stilled as McGonagall entered the common room, immediately heading over to the bulletin board. She stuck up a piece of parchment on it, before acknowledging the student. "Make sure to show support to your fellow Gryffindors respect, they are not only stressed but some will be leaving here to pursuit the war that the wizarding world has found itself in. Be courteous and quiet while travelling from class to class especially in the vicinity of the library and Great Hall. Now it'll be curfew in an hour, so take note of the examination schedule before heading to your dormitories, thank you." McGonagall nodded at the students before exiting the common room towards her own quarters.
Hermione, Harry and Ron were the first to approach the bulletin board. They wanted to make life as easy as they possibly could for Mikayla and Ginny for the next week. Which they needed to know when they had exams and which exam that they would need to prepare for at certain time in order to help them study. The OWLs and NEWTs schedule for the next two weeks is as follows:

Today, Ginny and Mikayla joined the others for breakfast, not wanting to take their Charms exams on empty stomachs. They didn't want to overload their brains with last minute cramming either because they knew that they'd burn out. Ron took it upon himself to plate up the two girls' breakfasts as an act of support and comfort. The food piled up so much that it resembled a cordillera on their plates. No one spoke, they all just ate in silence, although Mikayla noticed that Harry was holding Ginny's hand under the table beside her, rubbing soothing circles into the back of her hand with his thumb.
Mikayla looked up at the teacher's table, where four more people had joined, the examiners. Some of them were familiar from last year, Professors Griselda Marshbanks and Nigel Tofty. The other two examiners were new and introduced by Dumbledore at the start of breakfast this morning as
as Professor Mary-Anne Fletcher, and Professor Walter Doyle. Professor Fletcher is a tall woman with shoulder length black curly hair, she had soft grey eyes and thin lips that were twisted into a frown, she looked to be in her late forties. As for Professor Doyle, he is by far the youngest examiner, at the ripe age of 25, he is tall, dark and extremely handsome, he has a charming smile and dark brown eyes, and had been deemed by the whole female and gay man population as absolutely swoon worthy.
There was a loud screeching sound before hundreds of owls swarmed the Great Hall, dropping off letters, packages and newspapers to their owners. Mikayla felt bile in her stomach as she saw that she was once again on the front page, but this time the headline was different.

She didn't bother to ask Hermione to read it out loud this time, instead she continued to eat her breakfast like the whole room wasn't watching her every movement. Her friends decided to follow her lead, Hermione tucking away the paper claiming that she'd read it later when she had more time consider class was due to start soon. But instead of continuing to eat in silence, they began chatting, laughing, and playfully debating amongst themselves about nothing of true importance, just as a distraction from all the stress and pressure that has settled upon them.
It wasn't long before the five minute warning bell rang, dismissing most of the hall almost immediately. Harry, Ron and Hermione all wrapped Mikayla and Ginny into individual hugs, wishing good luck and promises to all have lunch together by the Black Lake today. They soon left after that, Mikayla and Ginny existing the Great Hall that had to be magicked into an exam hall. Ginny and Mikayla gave each other a hug, mumbling words of encouragement before splitting ways. Ginny moving to her friends and classmates mates as they waited to be called into the hall. Mikayla stood alone, needing the moment to collect herself and take some deep breaths to rid herself of the anxiety induced panic flooding her mind. Her NEWT class number was called, which led to Mikayla making her way into the Great Hall behind Cho Chang to take her seat.
Once everyone was seated, Professor McGonagall and Professor Tofty magically distributed the examinations before turning the timer and ordering the room to begin.
