Helping The Longbottoms

After spending an hour in Madam Malkins trying on a multitude of variations of green dresses for the awards night. Mikayla made her way to St. Mungo's, Madeye Moody assigned himself to join her on this errand as Mungo's is very busy and she has a massive target on her back. As they were on the train, she explained why she want to go to St. Mungo's, at first Moody was against it but he has definitely met his match with Mikayla have Sirius' stubbornness. You see Mikayla had organised a meeting with Augusta Longbottom, to discuss Frank and Alice's conditions and what Mikayla can do to help them. Mikayla wants to bring them to Carra Manor and in layman's terms cure them.

A subcategory of her Mind-Keeping abilities is Mind-Mending, where basically she has to enter the mind of someone, and fix the memories that were tainted by magic. In Frank and Alice's case, Mikayla can block the painful memories of them being tortured and fix the happy ones, bringing back Frank and Alice pre-Cruciatus curse but them still having memories of all events that has happened post-Cruciatus. The blocked memories will resurface once Frank and Alice's subconscious believes that they can process it without reverting back to where they are now. It took a while for Mikayla to learn the method and build up the confidence to complete this task.

"They are to be kept a secret for as long as we can. I don't want a target put on their backs or Neville's. Only the order, Augusta and Neville are allow know." Moody nodded his head in agreement, he clearly was thinking the same thing as Mikayla. He would've known the Longbottoms well from the first wizarding war, Neville mentioned that Moody had trained them to be Aurors. "And you are sure you can do this?" Moody asked and Mikayla shook her head no, "but I can't do anymore damage than what has already been done." Moody couldn't argue with that, Frank and Alice were basically just shell's of humans.

Augusta meets us in Frank and Alice's private room, she just so happened to bring Neville along with her. To say Neville was surprised to see Mikayla would've been an understatement but nevertheless he hugged her hello. Augusta had told Neville that there might be a possibility of his parents returning to their own selves and that they were meeting someone who was going to do it. "Hello Augusta, good to see you again." Moody said awkwardly, Augusta beamed at Moody and greeted him happily. Mikayla pulled out the book that held all the information about her abilities, she opens it onto the page about Mind-Mending.

The information was:
>Lay shoulder to shoulder with desired subject. Make sure you're are comfortable as you'll be inside the subjects mind from 30minutes to 2 hours depending on the damage done.

> Memories you want to block until the subject is healthy enough to process them properly, you do so by holding the memory ball and saying: Por ahora este recuerdo debe ir hasta que ____ pueda procesarlo por su cuenta

She hands the book over to Augusta, so she can read her steps to helping Frank and Alice. "We can't do it here, it'll put them at too much of a risk. I have a Manor in Ireland that is under the Fidelius Charm. They can't stay there until it's safe for them, you'll both have access to the Manor and can live there during the summer if you desire to do so. Although, the Weasley's are currently living there because of the attack on the Burrow, whilst we wait for it to be rebuilt and we don't know long that will take." Mikayla explained after Moody placed a silencing charm on the room. "Are you sure you're okay with sharing your safe house to us? I don't want you to be put in any danger for helping us." Neville immediately said and Mikayla smiled reassuringly, "I'm sure. I trust you to keep it a secret, Nev." Neville visibly relaxed once Mikayla had reassured him.

"We'll go now." Augusta spoke up once she finished reading through the method, Moody agreed saying the faster we get back the better. Mikayla whispered the address to Frank and Alice first, then told Neville and Augusta. Moody took the lead and apparated Mikayla and Neville first. The pair headed up to the house trusting Moody and Augusta to get Frank and Alice inside safely. Mikayla had warned the others about her plans whilst they were in Madam Malkins, and although they were worried about security, they knew that it was right thing to do. Mikayla lead Neville into the kitchen of the Manor, "this place is huge." Neville commented as they walked together, "agreed." Harry and Ron say in sync as they appeared in the kitchen, Mikayla was making some sandwiches for everyone for a snack as Molly was planning on having a feast later tonight.

Harry and Ron greet Neville kindly, the three boys catch up about their crazy Christmas break. Neville laughed hysterically when Harry told him what Lavender had gotten Ron for Christmas. Mikayla grabbed some bottles of pumpkin juice, meeting Augusta and Moody in the foyer and leading them upstairs into the west wing so they would have privacy. They decided to put them in a room, where they put Frank and Alice in different beds but same room as they are always more relaxed when they're together. "Moody, why don't you let Neville know where we are, he doesn't have to come up here, but just in case he wants to later." Moody nods and leaves Mikayla and Augusta alone. "He's catching up with Harry and Ron right now, this whole thing might overwhelm him, so I don't want to force him to be in here." Mikayla explained to Augusta before drinking some pumpkin juice and eating a few sandwiches as she'd need to keep her strength up.

"Are you sure you want to be in the room? It'll be a lengthy process and you might get overwhelmed by the end result." Mikayla offered Augusta a chance to leave before she got started but August wanted to stay. "Remember the main rule is not to try and pull me out of it no matter how much distress either of us look in or we'd loose all the progress I would've made by then." Augusta confirmed that she'll just stay in the chair and knit while Mikayla's doing her thing. Moody returned and informed us that Neville will pop up after he has lunch with the boys. "Right, I'll get started. Don't interrupt the process no matter what." Mikayla repeated before climbing on top of the covers of the bed Frank is in, Augusta decided to try cure Frank first, and made sure that she was completely comfortable.

Mikayla lined her right shoulder up with Frank's left shoulder, before lifting her right hand and placing it on top of Frank's head, right on his hair line. Mikayla cleared her throat before taking a deep breath, helping her relax more. "Je veux entrer dans cet esprit brisé et les aider à devenir un tout. At first Augusta and Moody didn't think it worked but five seconds after Mikayla finished her final words, Mikayla's eyes and right hand started to glow a blinding bright yellow. And with that Mikayla entered Frank Longbottom's mind.
