Valiant or Dastard

Mikayla woke up in her shared room with the Fred, George, Bill and Fleur, this was the room was Avery's when they lived there between the ages of 1 and 6. Mikayla's old room was across the hall, but was locked and off limits to everyone, she never wanted to see those four walls ever again. Although there's 10 bedrooms, Moody decided he wasn't risking another attempt to capture Harry and Mikayla by making sure there was four other people in their rooms. Harry was sharing Remus, Tonks, Ron and Ginny, much to Remus' displeasure as he was trying to avoid Tonks. Mikayla decided that she was going to have a chat with Remus about Tonks, why he was so reluctantly to date her when it's clear that they both are interested in each other.

Instead of having her normal relaxing boxing day, Mikayla resolved that there's no time like the present and spent the morning writing important letters. She decided to keep Hermione and Charlie in the loop with what happened and if they wanted to visit that the Floo was open to them. Charlie did decide to take her up on the offer and arrived at the Manor an hour before everyone had to leave for work. Mikayla was going with Moody to the Ministry to make a report in the Auror office as well as make some plans for the rebuilding of the Burrow. Charlie promised to stay with Harry, Ginny, Molly and Ron, until it's time to meet Mikayla in Madam Malkins.

Jenny and Annabeth offered to go do the grocery shopping, Mikayla, Fleur and Mrs Weasley comprised the list together and without a single tiff from Molly towards Fleur. Bill, Arthur, Pádraig, and Moody set up some extra wards around the property, Mikayla told Remus and Séan that she wanted to talk to them when they all got back. To say Mikayla was surprised when Selene arrived in the sitting room with the Daily Prophet strapped to leg, as she had used her to send a letter to Neville about possibly meeting up with him in the next few days. Mikayla paled as she saw the headline:

As news of an attack made on a Ministry Officials, Arthur Weasley, home from a handful of Death Eaters last night, brings forward a lot of questions about our supposed hero: 'The Great Protector'. There was two captured during the attack;
Recent Azkaban escapee Fergal O'Brien, Mikayla Black's step-father, abuser and father of Mikayla's beloved, and recently deceased step-sister, Avery Carra. There is a lot of speculation over the Avery's death and Black's involvement in it, some believe Mikayla has switched sides and gave Fergal her biological father's, Sirius Black, escape breakdown.
The other captured was renowned werewolf, Fenrir Greyback, known for his crimes against the Wizarding world and his particular attraction turning to children. Greyback has shown his allegiance to He Who Must Not Be Named through assisting in attacks on muggles and muggleborns, killing the adults and biting the children, forming a werewolf army. Mikayla has shown her sympathy towards the dark creatures, and has been funding the Romulus Fund for a number of weeks, as well as working there on weekends.
It's clear that Mikayla doesn't shown allegiance to the Ministry, we spoke to Percy Weasley, who was in the company of the Minister when he went to the Weasley household midday yesterday to recruit Miss Black, who rejected the offer. Percy was furious at the young girl, "she has caused nothing but problems for my family, she is constantly putting them in danger, she only thinks about herself and her safety over those who are around her. Think about it, the girl is a death omen, four people have died in her close circle and I plead that my family get away before they get themselves killed for her."
Mr Weasley went on speaking about Mikayla's Aevus abilities and she would've easy predicted the attack on his childhood home before it happened, yet did nothing to warn the Weasleys. "What the use of seeing the future if you're not even going to try and save lives?" I would like to clear up that there was no casualties at the attack of the Weasleys' home.
Andromeda Tonks, renowned Healer, was quick to shut down the rumours of Mikayla possibly be working with You Know Who. "If you think the girl who is actively trying to get equality for all magical beings would work with the man who wants to destroy everything she's worked so hard to build? Then you're an idiot." It's well known that Mikayla's goal is to work in the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. She has set up two different non-profits;
S.P.E.W- The Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare, which is working towards rights for House Elves. In the future she hopes that elves will be paid for their work, be allowed to socialise and procreate without needing their 'Masters' permission and that house elf gets to choose who they work for after a interview processes of the family wanting to host the house elf.
And the Avery Carra Foundation , which is a organisation that encourages young girls to become Dragonologists or to volunteer at the Dragon Reserve Centres worldwide. She co-founded this organisation with Ron Ryan and Charlie Weasley, in the memory of Avery, who had dreams of becoming a Dragonologist after school.
Mikayla also volunteers at The Romulus Fund, The Society for the Tolerance of Vampires, The Troll Rights Movement, The Society for the Support of Squibs, and St. Mungo's Creature Treatment Support.
It is quite clear there is no discriminatory bone in Mikayla Black's body, and even at the young age of sixteen is more tolerant than most of the Wizarding World. Not to mention that it was in fact Mikayla was who captured the two Death Eaters from last night attacks, risking expulsion but once again was willing to sacrifice her education to protect those around her.
We are yet to hear from Mikayla on the claims people are making about her, an ex school friend of hers, Oliver Wood, Keeper for Puddlemere united, spoke to us about her morality. Wood says, "Mikayla believes that everyone is good until they've proven otherwise." He went on to explain that if you listen to her radio show with Lee Jordan on WWN, you can't not like her.
Wood mentioned last Sunday when a guest claimed that all werewolves were vicious and evil, Mikayla was quick to shut them down. Mikayla asked the guest if they believe Wizards are all vicious and evil, and the guest denied it. Mikayla had said, "if there can be good and bad wizards, why can't there be good and bad werewolves? I think Lycanthropy should be treated like the menstruation cycle, acknowledge that it happens once a month, that it is natural, and if you don't go through it then don't make assumptions about it."
So what do you think? Is Mikayla Black a Valiant or a Dastard? Do you stand by her or do you think that she's more dangerous than anyone could believe? Or do you just not care about what side a sixteen year old girl is on and that the Ministry need to get a grip on what is happening instead of trying to besmirch a child's name?

"What's that?" Mikayla jumped suddenly at Remus' presence, "oh you know, the usual." Remus moves to her side and reads the headline, "questioning your allegiances again?" Mikayla nodded as she passed the paper to Remus to read in full. "I think it's just the Minister getting back at me for refusing to be a poster child for the Ministry." Mikayla shrugs casually and returns to eating her breakfast, "you compared Lycanthropy to periods?" Remus asked after he finished reading that whole segment and Mikayla snorted at his look of disbelief, "yup, shut that grumpy old man right up too, he went as red as a tomato and was quiet for rest of the interview after that." Remus chuckled as he shook his head at the blonde that had a big smile on her lips. "So what's the deal with you and Tonks?" Remus' smile dropped instantly at the topic he was trying ignore coming up, but Mikayla if anything is persistent.

"What do you mean?" Mikayla raised an eyebrow at Remus' attempt of feigning ignorance of the immense tension whenever both him and Tonks are in the room. "Well it's obvious that you both like each other, but you're holding back, why?" Mikayla took the direct approach, not wanting to play cat and mouse until she has to leave with Moody. "I'm too old for her, she'll want to have kids and I don't know if I can risk my child having Lycanthropy." Mikayla smiled sadly at Remus and patted the chair next to her, which Remus dropped into clearly exhausted.

"Have you ever looked in to what would happen if you fathered a child?" Mikayla asked quietly, knowing that this sensitive topic shouldn't be travelling around the house. "No, but there's rumours that the werewolf gene is hereditary." Mikayla kept the reassuring smile on her face as she shook her head dismissing the rumours, "it is only hereditary if both parents are werewolves, it's a recessive gene that needs a pair to be even possible. Tonks is a Metamorphmagus, which is a dominant gene, meaning if you two did ever get kids they'll most likely be Metamorphmagi."

Remus looked at Mikayla with a lightened expression, before asking her how does she know about all this. "Well extensive research from third year once I figured it out that you're a werewolf, but that was mostly useless information as I have no intention in killing you." Remus laughed lightly at Mikayla's statement, "but once I got to work in Romulus, getting to know the volunteers, and everyone there was all for sharing their knowledge with me about Lycanthropy." Mikayla made a split decision whilst she paused, she couldn't see the harm in inviting Remus and Séan to Romulus as she's been summoned to go in today.

"A werewolf named Castor gave me a detailed description of the transformation process, he even filmed it, which lead me to the potion I made, which I'm getting the results today. Do you want to come to Romulus with me?" Remus took a second to decide on whether or not he was going to accept my invitation. "Yeah, why not? I might learn something." Mikayla chuckled at this as it felt a bit ironic that she was teaching a werewolf about lycanthropy, not to mention irony of teaching her past Professor something new. Mikayla jumped up from her seat and went to walk out of the kitchen, "if you ask me, you need to start letting yourself be happy... the only person in the way of that is you... Tonks is a great woman, and she at least deserves a conversation on what is holding you back from being with her." Remus softly smiled at Mikayla, and he was once again in disbelief of the maturity and knowledge she holds at such a young age. "Thanks Mikayla... for everything." Mikayla smiled brightly as she reach the door, "anything for our Moony," before disappearing.

Remus smiled at the small statement, his eyes lingering on where the young girl had been. He always saw the similarities between Mikayla and Sirius, but this is the first time that she mirrored a memory he had of Sirius that he cherished so dearly for years. Everyday Mikayla becomes more and more alike her father, and it made Remus smile knowing how proud Padfoot would be of the woman she's becoming. Remus thought back to the day he first met Mikayla...
