Avengers Tower
Location: Manhattan

It was Tony's birthday and Mia stood in the lobby of the Tower. She was waiting for Maria to get in so they could go upstairs together. Neither wanted to go in alone. Mia because she missed memories and it would be awkward, and Maria because she didn't know all the people that good.

Mia was holding a small bag with Tony's present. She had trouble with finding one in the first place, but, after receiving some of her memories, she found something.

"I'm here! I'm here!" Maria came rushing in. She stopped besides Mia and showed her bag. "Found it!"

Maria was her present forgotten and had to go back to her car really quick.

"Took you long enough." Mia chuckled and headed to the elevator. "Partying deck." She said to the AI.

"Right up." FRIDAY replied.

"What'd you got him?" Maria asked the red-head next to her.

"Something he can built." Mia mysteriously said. "You?"

"Just sunglasses." Maria told the woman and the lift doors opened. They walked into the party and Mia was immediately hit with the many thoughts.

"Sometimes, I forget my powers." She grumbled and rested her hand against her temple.

"Is it too much?" Maria put her arm around Mia's shoulders. The latter shook her head and they approached the birthday boy.

"Mia!" Tony exclaimed happily. "I'm glad you could make it."

"Come on, dude. You're forty-five now." Mia smiled. "I can't miss that, can I?"

"How are the memories coming?" Pepper asked softly. She had no idea if it was a touching subject or not.

"I'm getting there, slowly." Mia told the blonde.

"What's the last thing you got back?" Tony asked and Mia her cheeks grew red.

"L-let's not go there." She said and looked to the ground.

"Wha- oh." Maria caught on and her cheeks turned red, too.

"What?" Tony asked clueless. "What was it?"

"Uhm..." Mia began, "my birthday before I got kidnapped."

"What is bad about that?" Pepper asked confused.

No one answered and Mia her head became even redder when she thought about what happened right after she remembered.

"Was it what I walked in on?" Tony pieced together and the two women before him nodded. "Oh God, I'm getting sick again."

Mia rolled her eyes. “Don't be such a baby.” She said. “It's not like you never saw two women kiss.”

Pepper finally understood what was going on and said, “Well… that must've been an interesting memory.” The blonde looked at Tony who was trying not to puke. “Stop that.”

“What?” Tony asked. “Mia is like a sister, it's weird to see her kiss anyone in front of me. Even if it was a boy.”

“Can we drop the subject?” Mia looked everywhere but Tony and swallowed. “Open our gifts.”

Tony's jaw dropped. “You brought gifts?” He asked like a little child.

“Nothing fancy.” Maria spoke up. “Just something that we thought you'd like.”

“Can I open it?” Tony's eyes sparkled at the thought of opening presents. He, truly, was a kid in a grown man’s body.

Mia and Maria gave the man the bags and he ripped the wrapping paper from the gifts. He looked at the sunglasses Maria gave him and placed them immediately on his nose.
