Location: Llactapata, Peru

“Why is the National police here?” Fitz asked and turned around to look outside.

“They heard about this object, they're probably here to protect it.” Ward explained. “This area has lots of rebel uprisings.”

“Yeah, people are fighting back against the government’s mining policies.” Skye scoffed. “It's pretty kick-ass.” She looked at Mia but saw her shaking her head.

“Yeah, it's kick-ass. All the violence.” Ward was not as excited as Skye.

“That's not what I'm saying.”

“I know, it's what you're typing. In your van, alone, where it's safe.”

“Okay, guys, not here.” Mia interrupted them and walked back to Fitz-Simmons to discuss what to do next.

“How much longer?” Ward asked them.

“What's the hurry?” “Are we in danger?” The scientists asked worried. Mia looked outside but saw nothing special going on. May was guarding the entrance.

“Not if everyone does their job. What is yours exactly?” Ward looked at Skye and Mia could confirm her shared thought with Coulson about Ward liking Skye. It was there for everyone to see, if you weren't blind like Skye and Ward himself.

“Skye is here to help search the web.” Mia told him and Skye nodded at him.

Mia started to walk to the artefact when the temple started to collapse a little.

“Sound like they're engaging with rebels.” Ward wanted to walk out and help but a piece of debris fell in front of him. He walked past it and walked out. “Let's go.”

Sleepy was still scanning the 0-8-4. It was taking a long time. So Fitz just called it back.

“They're coming for it.” Ward shouted. “Let's move!”

“We need a containment case for the 0-8-4.” Simmons told Ward and he looked at her as if she was mad.

“There's no time.” He said.

“But it has a fluctuating power core.” Fitz argued. “Frequencies way above 10 exahertz.”

“Sorry, science class is over.” Ward went back in the temple to get the object out of the wall.

“Ward, no!” Mia shouted. “You don't know what it'll do!”

“Whoa!” Fitz yelled when he saw what Ward was doing. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait! You did not just pull that out of the wall. What is the matter with you?”

Ward fell due to the heaviness of the 0-8-4.

“Do you realize we do not know the amount of photon emissions coming out of this?” Fitz asked angry and scared. Ward tossed some debris away and turned Fitz around.

“We don't know what'll happen if it gets excited.” Mia said angry but followed the team out of the temple.

“Stay close.” Ward told everyone and Mia helped Skye walk past the pieces of stone on the ground.
