Tony's POV
"I wonder how everything's going out there? As much as I hate to say this, I hope that Jessica didn't kill anybody out there"
"She wouldn't. While she has every reason possible to kill them, she wouldn't. Didn't she promise you that she wouldn't hurt or kill them? Besides, Clint, Rhodey, Stephen, and most of her team are there with her; she wouldn't do anything even if she wanted to", Carol reassured.
She had good points. Wait, why am I concerned about the rogues? One of them almost killed me. Correction, all of them almost killed me! I shouldn't care if she killed them or not, but the world's about to be in danger. We need all of the heroes that we can get, even if it means that they had to come back.
Suddenly, Jessica and Rhodey walked into the meeting room and sat down in their seats, but Jessica looked like she wanted someone dead. She leaned over to me and whispered into my ear.
"Honestly, Tony. I don't know how you were able to handle them for as long as you did. I swear that they're the most hypocritical and delusional people who I've ever met"
"So, I'm assuming that I'm expected to see all of them in one piece, right?"
"Yeah, but it took almost all of my willpower not to choke Rogers or that witch? But, as team leader, I want to set a good excuse for my team members"
"Really? I guess that I made the right call making you a team leader. The role makes you more mature and responsible". She just playfully elbowed me into the chest when I said that. Then, I remembered why we were having this meeting in the first place, then got things back on track. "Ok, shall we get this meeting started?". Everyone nodded. "Ok, who's bringing in the rogues?"
"Ethan will bring them in any minute now". Right on que, Ethan walked in with the rogues in tow. Then, he walked over to Jessica and Carol, whispered into their ears about something, which they both nodded to, then left the room.
"What's Stark doing here?!", the witch screamed at me, making a scene throughout the whole conference room.
"Tony's one of the team leader in one of the New Avengers Team, so he's required to be here for the orientation", Jessica explained patiently, but I could tell that she was furious on the inside.
"Please. Stark can barely take care of himself. He shouldn't be allowed in charge of a team"
"Wanda", Rogers reprimanded her in his "Captain America's very disappointed in you" voice. I hate that voice so much. So much hypocrisy in one voice.
"Anyway, as I was saying. Tony's a team leader for one of the New Avengers teams, as well as everyone else in this room. You'll all be put on one of these New Avengers teams, here's the list of the teams", Jessica said as she handed out the sheets with the corresponding teams that they'll be placed on. Of course, Rogers wasn't going to take the changes quietly.
"We shouldn't be placed on different teams. We're the Avengers and we should be together. Also, why aren't Bucky and Wanda placed on any of the teams?"
"Well, Wanda won't be placed on any of the teams because she'll be going to a school for mutants. Professor X, would you like to explain this time?"
"Certainly. Ms. Maximoff, you'll be enrolled into my school for mutants in order to control your powers properly"
"I'm in control of my powers! I don't need to go to your school"
"Is that so? Then, how do you explain the events that happened in Lagos?". Of course, Rogers jumped to that witch's defense.
"Wanda's just a kid. She's still learning". Well, if she's still learning, then there shouldn't be an issue with her going to a school where she can learn how to properly control her powers. I can't believe he's this delusional.
"If she's still learning, like you claim, then there's no reason for her why she shouldn't come to my school"
"That's not what I meant"
"Then what did you mean, Rogers? You just said that the witch's still learning, so what reason could you possibly have on why she shouldn't go to this school?". Instead of Rogers speaking this time, Romanov spoke this time.
"Come on, Tony. Be reasonable. Don't let your ego get in the way of doing the right thing"
"And what would that be, Romanov? As far as I'm concerned, this is the right thing to do. Anyway, shall we continue on the next issue at hand?"
"Oh, right. Mr. Lang and Mr. Barnes. If you don't mind, Tony and I would like to talk to you in private"
"No, anything that you have to say to Bucky, then you can say it in front of us"
"Rogers, this doesn't concern you, but I don't have time for this and neither do the rest of us. So, Tony, should we just tell them right here and right now?"
"Why not? Like you said, we all don't have time for this"
"Alright, then. Mr. Lang, as you saw on the team sheet, you'll be placed on Tony's team, so here's your badge and card", she addressed as she handed him the badge and card. "You'll need them to enter certain rooms in the compound. Like the labs, for example. Also, do me a favor and sign this"
"What do I need to sign?", Lang asked.
"Since your suit and the tech that makes the suit function doesn't belong to Stark Industries, you need to sign an agreement that ensures the suit and the tech will only be used by you and nobody else. You can thank Hope Van Dyne for this agreement since Hank Pym doesn't like Tony for some reason, but I'm sure that you already knew that"
"Yeah, sure. I can sign". Jessica handed Lang the papers, which he quickly signed, then handed them back to her.
"Great, thanks. Also, Hope wants to talk to you. Good luck, you'll need it. Ask Friday and she'll tell you where you need to go"
"Who's Friday?"
"I'm Friday. Nice to meet you, Mr. Lang", Friday said, and Lang looked up at the ceiling, confused.
"Ok, nice to meet you too. So, where am I supposed to go?". Once Friday told Lang where he needed to go, he left the room.
"Ok, Mr. Barnes. King T'Challa informed us that they were having trouble getting rid of your triggers, and Tony has some tech that could help you get rid of the triggers. Would you like us to help you with your triggers?"
"Well--", Barnes started to speak, but Rogers interrupted him.
"Yes, you owe it to him to help him"
"On the contrary, I don't owe him anything. I'm offering to help him. Also, I'm asking him, not you. So, Barnes, do you want my help to get rid of the triggers?"
"You don't have to help me, but I do want my triggers gone"
"Alright, then. I'll help you. Meet me in the lab tomorrow and I'll show you how the tech works"
"Alright. Thank you"
"Anyway, I guess that concludes the meeting. Meeting dismissed"
