Chapter 61

Jessica Drew's POV

Whatever Tony has planned, I'm certain that it's something good. Especially since he said that it's something that I would enjoy very much.

It is so nice to relax for once and not worry about the rogues any longer. Speaking of which, I somehow kind of wonder how they are planning to do since I am more than certain that they are planning to escape.

Well, I think that Laura can handle it for herself, along with the other team members who decided to stay behind.

Laura Blake's POV

While Tony and most of the other team members went on vacation, I decided to make it my responsibility to make sure the rogues behaved at the RAFT. Well, maybe not exactly make sure that they behave, more like give Rogers and Romanov the surprise of a lifetime since according to Clint and Jessica, they still haven't gotten it through their heads of the consequences of what happened.

Once Dr. Strange secured my mind for extra protection if Maximoff managed to escape and break free from her collar, I walked toward the cells of Rogers and Romanov.

"Hello, Rogers. Hello, Romanov. Long time no see"

"Who are you? I thought I asked to speak with Tony and Bucky. What are you doing here?"

"I thought that you would have recognized me, Rogers. Romanov, you remember me, don't you? I would be surprised if you didn't since Clint told me that you stalked us on our date that one time"

"Laura. It's nice to see you again"

"I would say the same thing, but then I would be lying"

"Laura- -"

"Save it, Romanov. I am only here for one purpose and I don't have much time for it, so I'm going to make this quicker and easier for me. First of all, how could you betray me like that?"

"What are you talking about? We never betrayed you or anyone"

"That is debatable, but you betrayed my trust; therefore, betrayed me. Remember the SHIELD Information Dump that you caused? Although, I'm more than certain it would be hard for you two to forget it since Clint, Jessica, and some of the other team members made it difficult for you two to forget about it"

"We did what he had to do, Laura. How many times would it take for you all to realize it?"

"How many times would it take for you two to realize that the pain and destruction that you all have caused? May I remind you that as a former SHEILD agent myself, I have been directly impacted by your irresponsible decision-making?"

"We didn't know who to trust"

"Yeah, like none of us have heard that excuse already"

"SHIELD was taken over by HYDRA. If we didn't destroy it, then HYDRA would have destroyed humanity, so we did what we had to do to protect the world from mass destruction"

"But at the expense of other people's lives. Most of those agents that have died were genuine SHIELD agents; most of whom I have close friendships with. If anything, if you have caused more destruction than saving with your actions that day, and possibly would have caused more destruction if it wasn't for Tony"

"Why, Tony? From what Clint and Jessica have said about him, he knew about it as soon as it happened, but he let it escalate too much"

"Honestly, it's so typical for you to blame Tony for that mess, Rogers. I should have expected that much from you, so I'm not going to waste my time on that. But let me just say this, once everything is said and done, you'll have no one else to blame but yourself. Unfortunately, I'm almost out of time; I had promised Clint that I would be done with you two in fifteen minutes, and if not, then he would assume that something happened and he would take appropriate action. Of course, I don't blame him for being that overprotective, seeing how we are officially fiancés". I held up my finger with the wedding ring to prove the point. "And not to mention the fact that we are... expecting", I stated with a slight blush.

"... Congratulations"

"Just for the record, Romanov. If you and Rogers somehow manage to get released from the RAFT, which I doubt would ever happen, stay away from my wedding and stay away from my family. Anyways, I should be going. I would say that it was nice seeing you, but it really wasn't". I left the cell rooms and met up with Clint at the entrance.

"So, how was it? Not that I need to ask"

"It went a little bit better than I expected, but it's like talking to a brick wall, Clint. Anyways, they are not of my concern anymore. I have more important things to worry about", I stated as I placed a hand on my stomach.

"I can't wait for the day that we get married and we have our first child"

"Me too. Of course, the wedding would have to wait after you kick Thanos' ass"

"Yeah, I know, but it'll be worth the wait, knowing that I get to marry you". We shared a passionate kiss before we left the RAFT.

Tony Stark's POV

Nothing make me more happier than finally being able to rest and enjoy it with the new and old friends that I have. I took the team members who wanted to come a private cruise to the Bahamas since that was the one place that Jessica always wanted to travel to, and it just seemed like a perfect opportunity for me to further conquer my aqua-phobia. Good thing that I had listened to Pepper and Rhodey about getting me that therapist as she helped me with a lot of my problems.

While I was actually enjoying myself for the first time, I couldn't help but continue being distracted by trying to figure out who revealed those videos of Romanov at the Red Room. I have asked people who I assumed would have been the ones who exposed them. Clint said that he didn't have anything to do with it as he was with Laura when it was released. Sam said that he never saw any of her files when he was present for the SHIELD Information Dump. Ethan and Jessica said that they didn't have anything to do with it either. Pepper and Rhodey said that they never even knew about the videos until I told them about them being used against Romanov in court. I even asked Barnes, but he said that he was never sent on missions to the Red Room as the Winter Soldier as it was just another section of HYDRA.

So if it wasn't any of them, then who could it have possibly been? Well, it obviously had to have been someone who was close to Romanov or to the Red Room itself. Maybe another Black Widow?

Well, whoever they are, I owe them my thanks and appreciation, and maybe one day I could meet them and thank them in person.

(A/N): Hi, everyone. Sorry again for the long wait... again. Exams are coming up, so updates might be a longer wait than before.

As you have read, Clint and Laura are getting married and expecting their first child( and this time, Clint would be a better father and husband, and would not abandon his wife and children whenever 'Captain' America wants to start a war), and Tony is starting to find out who possibly revealed the videos of Romanov. Anyways, seeing how most of the people guessed it was Clint or Yelena, and some people said it was Sam, I think it's more obvious on who it was since I just listed out who didn't do it, and that person will be joining the New Avengers pretty soon( Hint: next chapter).

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this chapter and since I'm not doing anything else this week, I'll probably update tomorrow or the day after. But after this week, I don't know when I'll update next, so just to give everyone a heads up. Goodbye for now!
