Chapter 18

Tony's POV

While Jessica, Clint, and Pepper were handling the new recruits for SWORD, I decided to go to the compound to work on the renovations. I was surprised that Rhodey and Vision wanted to join me to go to the compound. I knew Rhodey would want to come with me, but I didn't think Vision would. I mean the poor guy got pushed through 17 floors by his psychopathic girlfriend; I wouldn't want to return if I was him.

To be honest, I really just wanted to have this entire place teared down and build it all over again, but that would be a huge waste of money and materials. And despite of what everyone seems to think, just because I'm a billionaire doesn't mean I like to waste all my money on non-important things.

Anyways, since Rhodey and Vision decided to come, I'm sure they would have some ideas for renovating the compound.

"Ok, guys. I need some renovation ideas for this compound because I'll just tear this place down if I have to. So, any ideas?"

"Obviously, we'll need some new training rooms. Some for enhanced and unenhanced individuals", Rhodey suggested.

"True, but that's already a part of the planning stage. So, anytime else?"

"If we're going to add training rooms, then we need to add rooms for enhanced individuals like Ethan to safely practice their skills", Vision suggested, adding to the training rooms idea.

"True. Those rooms would help me practice my powers without putting anyone under any danger.. Good idea, Vision. Ok, anything else besides training rooms?"

"Well, what about living rooms for the new Avengers? They could use a place to live"

"They could live in the tower. I have more rooms than I can count"

"I know, but what if they don't want to live in the tower? Some of them would probably be more comfortable living in the compound where they could be closer when called for missions"

"Besides, Mr. Stark, don't you want to put those old rooms into use? Obviously, the former Avengers won't be back to use them". They did have a point. I don't want those rooms to go to waste, so I could reuse them and maybe build new living areas as well.

"Ok, you two have a good point. The team's getting bigger and not everyone would want to stay in the tower. Anything else?"

"Well, how about this?". After a while, I finally got a basis for the new compound. Now, to call Pepper and tell her about the plans for the renovated compound.

Suddenly, my phone rang and I picked it up to hear Jessica's voice on the other end.

"Hey, Tony. We may have a little situation", she said, sounding very nervous.

"What kind of situation?"

"Well, the committee called. It's about the rogue avengers"

"What? What about them?"

"Well, I would rather tell you in person than on the phone. Because, depending on how you feel about the situation, I don't want to be the reason that your phone exploded"

"Alright, I'll be there in a few minutes". I hung up the phone.

"What's the issue, Tony?"

"It's about the rogues. And from how Jessica made it sound like, it might not be a good thing"
