Chapter 3

Tony's POV

Suddenly, I woke up. I looked around to take in my surroundings, until I realized I was in the tower's hospital. I sighed with relief as I lied down onto the pillow.

"Tony. Thank goodness, you're awake". I looked up towards the voice. It was Jessica Drew, my cousin.

"Arachne, it's good to see you too"

"Tony, I was so worried about you. Everyone was worried about you"

"Define 'everyone'"

"Pepper, Rhodey, Happy, Vision and I"

"Oh. Wait, Rhodey's out of the hospital?"

"Yeah, he got released yesterday. He's paralyzed from the waist down, though. He doesn't blame you, by the way"

"Still my fault"

"No, it isn't. Don't blame yourself"

"Whatever. How did you find me?"

"I received the emergency alert Friday sent, so Vision and I got permission from Russia to rescue you"

"Wait, Vision was there?"

"Yeah. Tony, he cares about you. Technically, you're his father/grandparent? I'm not sure, but he does care about you"

"Oh, I'll make sure I thank him later"

"Yeah, anyways, Tony. I'm glad you're okay. Unfortunately, we have to make some tough calls"

"Tough calls?"

"You died on the operating table four times, Tony. We had to use Extremis and you also have the arc reactor again. I'm sorry, Tony"

"It's okay, I understand". Actually, I'm not okay about this. I just got the Arc Reactor out and I have it again. I also never wanted to use Extremis. I may have stabilized it, but I still don't know what kind of powers can occur because of it, but I understand certain precautions had to be taken to keep me alive.

"Also, there's more bad news"

"What is it?"

"It's about Clint"

"What is it? What's the problem?"

"During the airport incident, Secretary Ross found out that Clint was your brother, and captured him"

"What?!". How did he find out? No-one except Pepper, Rhodey, and Jessica knew that Clint was my brother. Not even the Avengers knew.

"Vision and I saved him, but by the time we got to where he was, he has been experimented on. His plan was to experiment a serum on him, then dissect him". I'm going to kill him. No-one messes with my brother, and gets to live. "Before you do anything, Vision and I took care of him. We placed him in the RAFT for life, therefore he was removed from the Accords committee, and stripped of his position. He shouldn't be a problem from now on"

"Good". Not good enough for me, but you have to take what you get. "How's Clint doing?"

"Unconscious, but should make a full recovery. We don't know how much of the serum he was injected with, though"

"Do you at least know what the serum's supposed to do?"

"The serum was supposed to be like the super soldier serum, except this one was never tested. Once Clint wakes up, most likely, he gained powers"

"Great, I guess gaining unknown powers runs in the family"

"Apparently". We sat in silence for a while, until I caught Jessica just staring at me.

"What's the problem, Arachne. See something you like?". She just rolled her eyes at me, smiling.

"Sorry, but you look very different, Tony. Go look in the mirror. You're see what I mean". I was confused about what she was talking about, until I looked into the mirror. I looked younger. I looked like I was in my 30s. My hair was dark brown, instead of mixed brown and white. My eyes were still brown, but had specks of red, blue, yellow, orange, purple, and green in them.

The Infinity stones. My new powers. Oh, gosh, with the powers of the Infinity stones and Extremis, who knows what powers I have.

"Tony?". I turned around to see Jessica staring at me worriedly.

"I'm fine. I just didn't expect this"

"I admit this is a new look for you, Tony, but I like it. I especially can't wait for the powers you're going to get from Extremis"

"Well, I'm not exactly going to get powers from Extremis only"

"What do you mean? I hate to ask this, but what happened to you in that bunker, Tony?"

"Well—". Suddenly, Friday's voice rang through the hospital.

"Boss, we have a situation in the cradle room"

"What's up, Friday?". The cradle? What could possibly be happening in the cradle?

"An unknown individual I have identified as Pietro Maximoff has appeared in the middle of the room. He appeared to be confused". Oh right. The soul stone did say he was going to bring him back to life, but I didn't think he meant now.

"Pietro Maximoff? Isn't he the one that died protecting Clint? How is he alive? He took multiple bullets to the chest"

"It's a long story, which I'll explain later, but right now. I have to deal with this, alright?"

"Yeah, you go deal with that. I'm just going to go check up on Clint. Call me if you need backup"

"Good plan"

"Don't do anything stupid"

"Don't do anything I would do. And definitely don't do anything I wouldn't do. There's a little gray area, and that's where you are". She just sighed, rolling her eyes and smirking.

"Whatever, Tony Stark"

"Whatever, Jessica Drew". We both left the room to check on your respective problems.
