Jessica Drew's POV
After the rest of the team and I finished testing out the new suits, we all met back into the main training room to discuss the results of their simulations.
"So, team. What were the results of your simulations?"
"Well, I had to rescue civilians from a collapsing and burning building. Twelve people were injured and five other people died", Ethan stated.
"Alright, not bad for a test run, Ethan. Peter, what about you?"
"I had to save hostages from an armed bank robbery. Fifteen people were saved, but three people were shot and injured, and four other people were shot and died from their injuries"
"Ok, nice job, Peter. Harley, I know that you didn't have a simulation, but how did you handle controlling your suit?"
"It went better than I had expected. I definitely didn't crash into the walls multiple times or lose control on some occasions"
"Sure, Harley, whatever you say", I responded while rolling my eyes. "Anyways, nice job, team. Now, we can take a break from training and relax"
"Finally! We've been training all week!", Harley said, sounding relieved.
"Yeah, but all that training will be worth it when we're all prepared from the threat that's about to come"
"True"
"So, since all of us has time to kill, what do you guys want to do?". The team and I settled on talking and bonding some more.
Yeah, everything went fine. At least until certain people decided to ruin the rest of the afternoon for us. And by "certain people", I mean Romanov and Rogers.
"Kids", Rogers said in an order-like matter. Seriously, this guy shows up everywhere.
"What do you want now?!"
"Seriously, it's bad enough that the committee had to pardon you after all of the damage and destruction that you caused in multiple countries, but you do have to bother and annoy us with your existence?!", Ethan shouted, sounding very frustrated. Honestly, I think that Ethan needs a long and much well-deserved vacation.
"Ethan has a point. It gets so annoying seeing you guys everywhere", Harley agreed. Too bad that Rogers ignored every single word that they both said, but I can't say that I'm surprised, seeing how the Rogues like to ignore other people's opinions that don't agree with theirs.
"We just wanted to talk to you kids"
"Why? There's nothing to discuss here, so if you don't mind, my team and I were in the middle of team bonding before you rudely interrupted, so please leave us alone". Apparently, according to Rogers, "Leave us alone" means "just keep on talking, we're listening".
"Look, don't let Tony corrupt you. Listen to us"
"One: I just said "leave us alone", so what part of "leave us alone" do you not understand? Two: How is Tony corrupting us? He has his own team to manage and left me in charge of my team, so I don't understand your statement. And three: Why in this lifetime or the next should we listen to you? Most of the stuff that comes out of your mouth is delusion and entitlement, so why should we?"
"Tony can't be trusted to take care of himself and other people and he's incapable on leading other people. And he's too dangerous to be around"
"One: Tony's more than capable on taking care of himself. Two: He practically raised me when my parents died at the age of ten, so he's fully capable of taking care of other people, especially kids. Three: How is Tony "dangerous to be around"? If anyone's dangerous to be around, then it should be you and the rest of your so-called "team". Or at least what's left of them"
"He created Ultron"
"Seriously, that's your argument? Hasn't Tony and Bruce Banner been cleared of all charges and proven innocent? And that the Hydra Witch was declared responsible for the creation of Ultron?"
"You're right, Ethan. That's what happened, but apparently, some people missed the memo or most likely rather have one person to blame for all of the world's problems"
"Listen--"
"No! You listen. I'm sick of hearing your constant delusional talk and entitlement and so is everyone else! You think that the world revolves around you and that world will agree to everything that you say, but look around, Rogers. The world chose a side and not all of them are on yours. The majority's on Tony's side. So, get used to it"
"Look--", Romanov tried to speak for the first time since she showed her face here, but I interrupted her.
"What, Romanov?! What are you even doing here anyways?! I thought I showed you a little piece of reality when I told you about the aftermath of the SHIELD Information Dump, but apparently, you don't seem to care about anything, but yourself. And you always berate Tony for his ego when someone should keep yours in check"
"Look, kid--"
"No, you look, get out of here! I've had enough of this! Leave now!". Rogers and Romanov seemed to finally take the hint and left the training room. What is wrong with some people? Thinking that the world somehow owns them something?
