S3 Part 6 - Bachelorette

"(Y/N)!"

Mina was first to come running towards you, but Iida was quick to stop her, "Please! Everyone! They've been through an ordeal today. I know we're all very excited but let's give them some space."

"I don't need space!" Mineta raised his hand looking hopeful.

"It's okay, Iida," you smiled, "Actually, I... wanted to say something."

Mina tilted her head to the side and Iida's serious expression loosened, "Of course. You have the floor, fellow classmate."

You looked at all the familiar faces of class 1-A and your chest felt like a rekindled fire. Bakugo and his squad took up the couches, the girls were flooding the kitchen and had various snacks in hand, even Tokoyami and Ojiro were hanging out in the room checking out some books Shoji had.

Your heart stopped when your eyes met Shoto's. Warning bells went off in your head when you saw his brilliant blue eye outshine his gray one.

Oh, stop it - a lot of people have turquoise eyes!

"Thank you...um," you were a little nervous now that you knew everyone was watching, even if that was your plan from the beginning, "I guess I just wanted to say before I settle in, that I'm sorry for my crazy, stupid drama and for bringing so much unwanted attention to our class... I know it can't be easy to have me as a classmate, but I promise I'll work hard and support all of you best I can."

"And," you bowed your head slightly, mostly because looking at everyone was getting difficult, "Thank you for the support you've given me. I don't feel like I deserve it, especially after disappearing so often. I'm sorry I've been absent."

Denki was still by your side and you could feel him watching you. The room got quiet and you worried whatever you said was a mistake. When you dared to look back up, you were greeted not with judgement but warm smiles, a few tears from Mina, and a "not scowl" from Bakugo.

"YOU SHOULD BE SORRY!" Bakugo stood from the couch, "We've been waiting days to hear from you, idiot!"

That seemed to lighten the mood, ironically, and everyone chuckled.

"IT'S NOT FUNNY! Just try ignoring a text from me again," he huffed, "I dare you!"

"That's pretty clingy, Bakugo," Sero snickered along with Kirishima.

Tsu had her hair up in an exotic knot and pajamas on and you almost forgot you weren't just at school but in dorms now! This was your new home. Everyone had gotten comfortable and cozy in their new living situations.

"I think I can speak for our class, or at least everyone I've talked to," Tsu said, "That we're just worried about you. And we understand why you would close yourself off, especially after everything that's happened. But if you give us a chance, then maybe you can rely on us and not have to suffer alone. Ribbit."

Her answer shocked you. You didn't know how to respond other than bow your head again, "Thank you..."

"That was a pretty manly speech, (Y/N)," Kirishima said, flashing his sharp teeth at you, "And I'm sure we all want to catch up and talk about all that serious stuff - but let's save that for later!"

"Yeah - I'm just happy you're back!" Mina skipped passed Iida and trapped you in her arms, "Don't leave us ever again!"

I'll try... you thought, and returned her persistent hug.

"I'm also fine, thanks for asking," Denki pouted. He slowly released your hand when he noticed Mina wanting to steal you away.

"We're having a movie night as a dorm," Ochaco's pink cheeks lit up, "If you guys want to join us? If you're too tired I totally understand."
