Spinner stopped the car at the agreed upon location and waited. Tomura sat in back with you across his legs, playing mindlessly with your hair.
"You sure about this, Tomura?" Spinner asked. His scaly fingers tapped on the steering wheel, "Why not see if he'll just take the cash?"
"I don't even know where she got this kind of money!" Tomura exclaimed, and then sighed,
"As much as I hate it, Overhaul does challenge my position. He strikes me as the ambitious but cautious sort. If I want to get rid of him, I need to get close first. Now that we've had our disagreements and killed some of our own, I doubt he'll ever leave himself that exposed to me again. Even after a compromise."
"I don't just want him out of the way," he continued, "I want him destroyed. I'm going to take everything he has - not give him money."
Spinner sighed, but wasn't surprised by his leader's revenge path, "It's risky sending the girl in..."
"She's not some wimpy flower," Tomura scoffed, "Maybe soft on the outside, but inside she's destructive. I'm not treating my future Queen like she's incapable - that wouldn't help her grow, would it?"
Spinner's back stiffened when two Yakuza thugs appeared in his rear view mirror. Tomura ran his hand down your cheek one more time.
"Think she could be swayed?" Spinner asked, "If she is, we're just handing Overhaul more ammunition."
"Swayed by Overhaul? Doubtful," Tomura hesitated, hoping that you hated the guy more than he was attractive, "This is probably the best time to do this, anyway. If she had the cult already, he would claim her and everything she has as soon as we handed her over. This will buy us some time. Time for us to see inside the Yakuza and Shie Hassaikai."
"And I'll let her deal with her own rescue mission. I'm not doing that crap again," he scoffed.
Spinner shrugged in agreement. The lizard man watched his leader leave the vehicle and put you over his shoulder. He was glad to see Tomura taking more action without the guidance of his master, but they'd lost so much already. All this fame being the League of Villains wasn't rewarding them yet.
"I hope you're right about this," he muttered.
Tomura Shigaraki followed his guides through a MAZE.
He didn't realize what a trek this would be or he would probably not have knocked you unconscious. The way to Overhaul and his secret base was underground and through several winding tunnels and turns that never seemed to end.
When he finally reached the door he was almost out of breath. He stepped inside and immediately said, "What a boring office."
"I don't like overly cluttered rooms."
Overhaul answered his insult with a wave of his hand. The beaked man was dressed in all black this time, but still wore the same white shoes that somehow never had a scuff on them.
It was a simple space with only two hard couches, a coffee table, and a banner hanging on the wall. The black, moving puppet was back and sat on the armrest next to Overhaul. Their only other company now was another mask wearing figure in a long, white jacket.
"You had me walking in circles underground for thirty minutes. I'm not an ant," Tomura said.
"We don't know who might be watching us, or from where, and not all of our guests have the best of intentions," Overhaul said, "So, we have a number of ways to get here, an underground reception room where we can be reasonably sure of our privacy..."
