AN: Omg, you guys...
I've been cleaning up some of the earlier chapters in the first Quirky book and I'm DYING! They were so messy 🤣 I wasn't even spelling names right lol!!!

Thank you so much for sticking around after all this time! 😂❤️

You woke to the sound of your own screams.

Dammit... I thought these were over.

You wiped the sweat off your face and sat up in your new bed - new room. Boxes were still scattered all over the floor as you and the other girls gave up organizing clothes for the night.

The dreams kept coming. You thought after returning to UA and being around your friends that they might stop, but you still saw Valentini or someone in a mask coming to kill you, or watching them kill someone else.

This whole trauma thing is exhausting... You groaned, and felt an unsettling feeling in your stomach. The bathrooms were in the middle of the hallway so you had to sneak out in your pjs at 3am to find them.

Once inside, you hurried to one of the stalls and let yourself purge your guts out. This only happened on the really rough nights, but it was still annoying. You rinsed your mouth in the sink and felt the tears welling up in your eyes next.

Sometimes it felt like you had no control of your emotions. That it was just your body living a life all it's own and you were there to watch through the window of your eyes. It looked like you were feeling so many things but inside you felt empty.

Step two: shower.

You grabbed one of the towels stacked on the shelves and hopped into the individual shower stalls. The hot water poured over you body and you wished it could wash away everything inside of you too. The steam clouded the mirrors when you stepped out and redressed. You wrapped your hair in the towel and headed back to your room, like nothing happened.

Except, when you headed back to your room, you spotted someone moving in the darkness. Everything was quiet, except for you, and the faint creaking of the front door.

You were already quite alert from your nightmare so your mind had no trouble shifting into attack mode, but when you saw purple, disheveled hair attached to the intruder, you paused. It was only Shinso? But what had he been doing outside this late?

"Hitoshi?" you whispered. He looked up, not expecting to hear your voice. You couldn't read his blank expression.

"You're up, kitten?" He asked as he took careful steps towards you. The lights were off in the dorms but moonlight came through the tall glass windows, casting a harsh contrast over Shinso's face.

"Out for a morning stroll..?" You sized him up and down.

He smirked, and gave you a much slower glance-over, "Early morning shower?"

"Touché," you said, "I couldn't sleep."

He nodded, "I'm not having much luck myself. Wanna help each other?"

You scoffed at his horrible flirting, "I don't think so, pal. You've been too dodgy lately to receive cuddles."

"Dodgy? I'm sorry. I thought you wanted some space," he said, "I wasn't avoiding you."

"It felt that way," you said, pouting your lip.

"You're the one who flew across the ocean, kitten. Why didn't you tell me you were home?"

"It was before that and you know it," you reminded, folding your arms across your chest, "I thought I was giving you space."

"The therapist did say we shouldn't romantically engage with other patients," Shinso attempted to jest.
