"... Yuma? Hey?"
Her presence was still intimidating in the daytime, appearing like Lady Death. The mask hid all expression from you, but you could feel something was off.
"Hello, child," Yuma said almost remorsefully.
"Why are you here?" You asked. From what you remembered, Yuma wasn't a fan of Heller.
"Your wedding, of course," she scoffed, "Though, I see your husband to be is otherwise indisposed... and you look more like Carrie than a bride, my Queen."
What was happening here? You leered at her tone, "Yeah... The police decided to raid the base. I'm confused, did Overhaul tell you to come?"
"He did," she said.
You were still trying to figure her out when you noticed someone behind her, looking a little groggy. His white hair draped over one of his eyes, but then you saw the oddly formed tips.
"What the hell?" You tensed, "What are you doing with him?!"
Kurono barely lifted his head to glare at you. He was struggling to keep himself awake from the looks of it.
"Well, that depends," Yuma said, "On your relationship with Shigaraki."
"On my..." you made a mind-blown gesture, "I haven't even seen the guy in days!"
The sound of wings, that reminded you of sails catching the wind on a boat, came from behind you. This time, you welcomed Heller's arm slithering around your front. His palm pressed on your navel as he kept his body close to yours.
"Why don't you tell the queen bee what you've been up to?" He laughed into a hum, "Eh, Yuma?"
Yuma titled her head down and said nothing. This just caused Heller to chuckle more. He bent down close to your ear, "Go on, ask the old flower a question. You know she has to tell the truth, right? Careful, though. She's crafty."
She does? You knew her quirk could have others tell her the truth, but it must have come with a negative effect as well.
"We don't have time to waste..." Kurono grumbled.
"You, shut up," you snapped, and turned your focus back on Yuma, "So, why are you really here... Overhaul needed you to be here for my forced arrangement. What for?"
"Yes, Yuma, what for?" Heller taunted.
"We need to act now," Kurono pressed.
Yuma turned sharply, "I don't see why I should hustle for a man who can't even make an appearance, especially for my granddaughter he claims to love."
Granddaughter...
Not like AFO claiming to be a grandparent, but a real grandparent? Was this a joke? Or was this the loophole Kurono spoke about before.
"Granddaughter?" You waited for her to explain.
"Well, it's not how I planned our reunion. None of this, actually," Yuma said, "... Butcher is my son."
Well. That was something.
You had a million questions, but if you were being honest, it wasn't the most shocking reveal in your life at this point. It made sense that your parents had parents, they probably had other family somewhere too. More could even be within the cult.
Butcher's family... my family.
But for some reason, only you could take the throne?
"If that's true then," your eyes went from her to Kurono, "Don't do whatever it is you're about to do..."
Yuma groaned, seeming to exit her reverent act in front of you today, "I told you these men were dangerous, but you're forcing my hand."
