Overhaul made his way to where he kept Monarch, but had to take it slow due to his nuisance of an erection crowding his pants. The taste of you was still fresh on his tongue.
Maybe he was being too hasty, he thought. If he killed Monarch now he would have to find some other means of keeping you from acting out, although, it had not stopped you thus far. It was irritating, he growled to himself. There were more important things to worry about than your obedience, but his craving for you was interfering.
He just had to make you see that he was all you needed. You didn't need Monarch to be happy, or the heroes or even the League. Kai could provide everything. Eventually, you would forget your old life and see things his way.
"Boss?"
Kai had his hand on the door, still debating how to properly punish you and Monarch. He looked over his shoulder, "What is it."
"Kurono was lookin' for ya," the man said.
That caught his attention. It could have to do with Eri and their latest product. Punishment could wait. He was going to be in a good mood after all.
"Great," he said, "Have someone take food to my room - two of you, in case my wife's feeling flighty. Don't touch her, unless she tries to run."
"Yes, boss..."
The henchman watched Kai until he disappeared around the corner, before curling his lips into a smile. He glanced behind him and then knocked on the door to Monarch's chambers.
"I'm grumpy, speak quickly, peasant," Monarch grumbled from the other side.
"Butterfly man," the man's voice suddenly changed to be deeper and smoother, "Come closer would you?"
"... say less? Or more? Your voice is kind of sexy. What's your name, handsome?"
"You can call whatever you'd like," Heller spoke through his host, "Tell me, have they put you in those ridiculous shackles as well?"
He heard Monarch stirring and carefully coming closer, his voice was easier to hear now.
"What would my guard be asking such things for? You're the one standing here all day, aren't you?" Monarch asked.
Heller chuckled, "Listen closely, stud. Your godchild is doing a less than productive job at rescuing you. It's really slowing things down for me." He paused to yawn and stretch, "So, here's what I'll do, since I'm so generous."
A small key fell from Heller's hand. He trapped it beneath the sole of his shoe and slid it forward. The small piece of metal disappeared under the door.
"Do us all a favor," Heller said, "Put this to good use. Oh, but keep this a secret between us, I don't want her thinking I'm soft."
"... Who are you again?" Monarch asked, "Should I know you?"
Heller leaned his back against the door and smiled, his red eyes falling slightly, "One day, maybe everyone will. Well, must fly. I have other prisoners to visit."
"Wait, you mysterious bastard! Tell me how my precious is doing?!"
"Worry about yourself," Heller sauntered off, "Leave the girl to me."
***
You were on your knees, still next to the door. The tears had stopped but the hopelessness weighed you down until you were unable to move. What had you done? Why did you ever agree to come here? Now, it didn't even matter. Because Monarch was dead.
