Dabi lay flat on his back while you slipped into some, not burned, clothes. You scoffed at the pile of charred jeans and kicked them aside. Then, you remembered the black spot on the side of your bed from Dabi playing pyromancer with the carpet.
"You were here for how long..?" you shook your head.
Dabi grunted in response. A cigarette poked out form the middle of his lips, and he lit the tip with his thumb. You leered, and seriously considered requesting a different room.
"Can't you do your dirty habits somewhere else," you said.
"Fuck. Fine," he groaned, "I'll open a damn window."
"No!" You jumped, "I mean... I'll get it. I'm already up."
Dabi shrugged, and relaxed back on your bed. That was the last time you screwed this prick, you thought. Just look at him, polluting your room and sprawled out, still naked, like he owned the place, and you. But your eyes lingered too long. Dammit... he's still hot.
You dashed over to the window and slipped the tiny earpiece into your ear, pulling your hair forward, trying to make it as casual as possible. It must have been early morning. The dawn was breaking through the trees and waking up the birds. You caught your reflection in the window before opening it.
Who even was that? You were beautiful, but not the same girl; nervous and awkward with her school friends. The scars weren't visible, but you felt every one of them. You let out a breath when you pushed the glass away.
After this is over... I'll come back, you made a silent promise to everyone. Even if it meant you would be in the biggest trouble of your life. Even if they all hated you. You would face the music, and hopefully, the world would be a little bit better without you and the Butcher to interfere.
"Baby..."
Dabi appeared behind you. Both his arms leaned against the window frame, trapping you. He blew a cloud of smoke to the side, and purred close to your ear, "Tell me what's going on in that head of yours."
"I'm annoyed that you're smoking in my room?" You said. You snatched the cigarette and snuffed it out on the windowsill.
"Is this what it's like to have a woman," he asked, "The nagging starts right after we have amazing sex?"
"Let's get something straight, Dabi," you twirled to face him, but your confidence wavered under his gaze, "... you don't have me."
"No?" He smirked.
"No. You had me. It was fun, but it shouldn't happen again."
"What do I gotta do, huh? Not everyone can be a fucking hero..." his eyes narrowed.
It was starting to feel warm behind you. Right, you swallowed, don't piss off the fire guy.
"Dabi..." you grimaced, needing more space from the fire now burning brightly and catching your wings, but Dabi wouldn't budge. You inched closer and closer to his chest. "Seriously, knock it off!"
"What's the deal?" He chuckled, "A devil should be able to handle a little fire."
You shoved him away from you with ease, escaping his heat. His expression looked smug, but you recognized that dangerous glint in a villain's eyes by now. He wasn't done.
"Don't walk away from me," he said.
"Threaten me all you want, Dabi," you made for the door, "But I'm the Queen here. And you can't do shit."
You were right, you both knew it, and still he advanced on you. Before you reached the door, he was grabbing your arm and throwing you and himself against the wall. He had his aggressive mouth and scorching tongue attacking your neck like his life depended on it.
