Thanks for the meal. It was really delicious. I'm feeling better but going to head to bed soon. Let's find something fun to do tomorrow? Love you.

I reread the message several times even after responding. I had worked so hard on making that bento box and was grateful that Kirishima had been willing to deliver it. The anticipation of waiting to hear how he liked it had been torture and I worried he was just going to make fun of me for it, or worse yet, tell me that my cooking sucked and something like, 'thank God you didn't pursue a career as a chef'. Katsuki had been acting so strangely this morning and I wasn't sure what was up, but after receiving the text, relief flooded through me. It had been such a boring day without Katsuki and I urged tomorrow to come faster as I prepared for bed. However, my heart only seemed to flutter more with each passing minute as I lie in the darkness of my room waiting for sleep to take me.

After what seemed like hours of restless tossing and turning, I decided to give up and switched on my bedside lamp. I longed to see Katsuki and considered texting him to see if he was still awake but worried I would come across as needy. Sighing, I picked up a nearby manga and began absently flipping through the pages, not actually absorbing the story in front of me.

When my phone buzzed, the obnoxious sound pierced through the silence of my room, causing me to startle. The illumination of my screen told me that I had gotten a text and that it was 12:15 AM.

What the hell? I thought, quickly unlocking my screen. Who would be texting me at this hour?

My heart did a somersault when I saw that it was from Katsuki.

Hey...I'm having a hard time getting to sleep. If you're awake, are you up for going on an adventure?

I couldn't seem to control the audible squeak of excitement that escaped from my lips. My fingers quickly typed out a reply.

Always!! What were you thinking?

It felt torturous watching the Delivered sign switch to Read and then waiting what felt like a painfully long stretch of time until the little set of dots started bobbing to show he was typing.

Hmmmm...I want it to be a surprise. Meet me outside?

Adrenaline and excitement began to course through me as I hopped out of bed and threw on Katsuki's skull sweatshirt and a pair of comfy grey leggings. I was practically dancing as I made my way to the first floor, taking the stairs instead of the elevator to work off some of my crazed energy so that I didn't seem like such a lunatic by the time I made it to Katsuki. I peered outside before pushing the front doors open and quickly spotted him, his patch of spiky blonde hair sticking out among the darkness. His hands were stuck into the pockets of his dark sweatpants and I admired the definition of his exposed biceps for a moment before swinging the door open.

The greeting I had planned seemed to get lodged in my throat as he turned and our eyes met. The intensity of his gaze caught me off guard until a small smile appeared on his lips.

"I thought you might be standing me up,"

Just the sound of his voice, deep and gravelly, brought an immediate feeling of joy surging through me.

"Of course not!" I said as I came to stand in front of him. Suddenly feeling bashful, I looked everywhere but at those beautiful pools of red until I felt his touch lifting my chin to make me look at him.

"Good," He practically growled and his smile seemed sinister for a moment before he abruptly turned and grabbed my hand, beginning to lead me down the sidewalk. "Because I've got something pretty damn magical planned."

"Pretty damn magical, huh?" I laughed and felt myself begin to relax again as I focused on the warmth of his hand wrapped around mine. I gently rubbed my thumb against the rough skin of his hand as I let him lead the way.

"You're damn right. Only the best for my babe," He replied, grinning at me. "Especially after you put so much love into that bento box."

I felt the heat rush to my face and I quickly looked away. "It was nothing, really," I lied. In reality, I hadn't known what the hell I was doing and spent most of the day consulting Google for recipes and asking for help from the girls.

"No, I'm serious," He said, suddenly stopping and turning to face me. "No one has ever done something like that for me. I never thought that...I was even worth somebody going through the trouble of making something like that."

My heart ached hearing him say such words and I was about to speak up when he held up a hand to stop me.

"You're everything to me. I can't imagine living in a world where I don't love you like I do in this moment. I want to be with you...always."

It was suddenly hard to breathe. He was saying all of the things I had always wanted to hear and the look in his eyes was so sincere I wondered for a moment if I was actually just lucid dreaming. But when I felt him take my hand in his and began leading me further down the path towards the front gates of the school I knew I wasn't dreaming.

"You're going to love this surprise. But I need you to close your eyes, okay?"

I narrowed my eyes at him suspiciously as we came to a halt. "Why do I have to close my eyes? It's already frickin dark."

He leaned forward and planted a kiss on my lips, swiftly and gently. "Do you trust me?" He said, his face hovering inches in front of mine.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed. "Yeah, of course I do."

He smirked before I complied and closed my eyes. I felt the firm grip of his hands on my shoulders as he turned me around.

"Stand still," His deep voice was suddenly right next to my ear, his breath hot on my neck. It sent a shiver down my spine. One of his hands began sliding down my arm and I was consumed by the feel of his touch before I felt a prick in my neck and suddenly felt paralyzed.

"Katsuki?" There was a shaky fear in my voice that surprised even me as I opened my eyes. My vision blurred and the world seemed to move sideways in slow motion before I realized I was falling down.

The last sight I had was Katsuki leaning over me, that sinister grin back on his face as he said, "Go to sleep, love."
