Bakugo's POV

What in the actual fuck is going on? I thought, as I watched that fucking Icy Hot bastard grab her hand and take out that clone within seconds. My immediate reaction to hearing her scream out was to turn around and this is the shit I have to see? Why the fuck are they still holding hands like that?! She looks like she's about to...

I watched as she lost consciousness and fell forward into his chest. The feeling of anger, so immediate and burning hot, coursed through me as he grabbed her and held her close to him to keep her from falling. I hated him so fucking much and seeing his hands on her made me want to rip them from his body and shred them in a wood chipper. My reaction was so strong, I didn't have time to consider why I cared so much. One small blast from each palm catapulted me down the stairs to where they were standing.

"Hey!" I shouted, "Start pulling your fucking weight around here! I'll carry the stupid girl!"

A look of confusion crossed his face but he didn't argue with me and attempted to transfer her into my arms. I quickly realized that my gauntlets weren't going to allow me to carry her comfortably.

Noticing this, Todoroki said, "It would make more sense for Shoji to carry her and you and I can focus on taking out the clones."

"Fuck that!" I screeched, quickly pulling the gauntlets off and setting them on the stairs. "I've got her."

After getting the equipment off, it was easy to lift her into my arms. Her skin was cool to the touch and I hoped that the heat from my hands would help warm her up. Her hair was soft and silky, tickling the back of my hand as I turned around to begin going up the stairs. I was distracted for a moment by her face, her small lips slightly parted and her cheeks a rosy red.

I noticed that half and half bastard staring at me so my head snapped up and I shouted, "What the fuck is your problem?! GO!"

Without another word, he sprung forward and I began moving as well. I felt better now that the damn emo chick wasn't in his arms but I was still irritated as hell as we made our way up more flights of stairs. I wanted to be blasting the shit out of these clones and instead I'm carrying the girl. I hated having to rely on my idiotic classmates to carve the path to the flag we needed to reach but I didn't have much of a choice.

Ahead of me, I heard Shoji spout off about the door to the rooftop being jammed. When he turned around and saw me carrying the emo chick something flashed in his eyes that I couldn't quite read. Rolling my eyes and clicking my tongue in irritation, I shifted Nakano so that I could stick my palm out and blast the door down.

My eyes were immediately drawn to the yellow flag billowing in the wind and I began racing towards it, tightening my grip on the girl. A clone generated in my path and I paused, my feet sliding on the ground for a moment before coming to a halt. I glanced over my shoulder to see Shoji and that half and half bastard battling more clones. There wasn't time to weigh my options, so I quickly set the girl on the ground, Ectoplasm's clone already approaching.

I released a powerful blast towards my attacker but he dodged it and attempted to kick me in the side as he closed in. I used the force of my explosions to push me back and away from my enemy, his peg leg barely grazing my stomach. It was then that I realized in dodging his attack, it had taken me farther away from the damn emo chick and the clone bastard was now hovering right over her. Panic flooded me for a moment and I acted without thinking, blasting myself forward and striking out with an explosive punch, which landed solidly on the clone's temple and causing him to evaporate into a cloud of thick gray smoke.

Out of my peripheral vision I saw another clone approaching and glanced down at the emo chick, who stirred briefly, before turning my attention towards the enemy. Charging him full force, I took him out easily and then was about to do a quick look around when I heard that Icy Hot bastard's voice ring out across the rooftop.

"I've got her, get to the flag!"

I spun around to see that half and half bastard running toward the flag, carrying her like she was his goddamn bride or some shit! Why the hell did he feel the need to lay his fucking hot and cold hands on her and why the hell did it bother me this much?

Fuck! I thought, dashing towards the flag. I'll kill him after this damn thing is over!

My feet pounded on the ground for a few beats before I used my quirk to propel me forward and get to the flag first. Obviously I got here first because I'm better than all these damn morons. I thought. The multi-armed freak showed up first, followed close behind by Icy Hot. I was surprised when I saw the emo chick's hand reach out to touch the flag and when I looked toward her, she was already looking in my direction. As a loud buzzer sounded off I held her gaze and there was a look in her eyes that I couldn't read. A blush crept across her face as she looked up at Icy Hot.

Why the fuck is she blushing?!

"Um...you can...put me down now," she said quietly. As he set her on her feet, she added, "Thanks, I mean, thank you, I don't know what happened, it all feels really fuzzy. I'm really sorry you guys."

Her eyes seemed to be glued to the floor, her hair falling in a curtain around her face as though to shield her. She suddenly wavered for a moment and on instinct I stepped forward to steady her. As my hand wrapped around her arm, she looked up at me. Her eyes were bright and shining in the sunlight and a breeze caressed her hair.

"I don't...feel well," she said and screwed her eyes shut as she lifted a hand to her head to massage her temple.

"Well, no shit!" I barked and she winced.

Shit. Why do I feel guilty? I'm not going soft for this damn emo chick!

"You should probably get to the nurse or some shit before you pass out again!" I said and was vaguely aware of octo-arms and Icy Hot exchanging a look that pissed me off before I began pulling her back towards the stairs.
