Phoenix POV

I woke up to Leo bouncing on my bed.

“Come on! Wake up! Things to do! People to see! WAKE UP!” he yelled. I moaned, and felt around for the clock on the side table. I felt something, then I felt the flutter of wings on my face. I threw my eyes open, and I saw a fluffy white dove sitting on my side table.

“Whoa,” Leo gaped. I sat up, and stroked the bird. It cooed against my fingers, and then poped back into the clock that I thought it was. “You gotta be careful Sissy,” he chuckled, pulling me up and shoving me towards my trunk.

“Now get dressed! We have to go to our vault!” he shouted happily as he stood at my open door. I heard a witch shout at him to be quiet. He yelled something at her, and slammed my door. I jumped when he did.

I sighed, and grabbed something to wear. My mind wandered to other things, like school or what I still had to get as I brushed out my hair. I jumped as I felt something move in my hand. I saw a small brown mouse looking up at me with big eyes.

“Hey,” I said, bringing it up to my eye level. It gave a mouse-ish smile and popped back into my brush. “Oh shit.” I whimpered, dropping my brush and transporting to West’s house. I pushed the door open, and called for him.

“Oh. Phee, wasn’t expecting you, thought you were at the Leakey Caldron.” West said, surprised. He was in his pajama pants in the kitchen, shirtless. I saw Venus, his girlfriend in his bright blue dress shirt blushing as she awkwardly walked back into West’s first floor bedroom.

“Sorry, I-I should have sent and owl first,” I mumbled, blushing red.

“No, no I told you could come home anytime.” He said, pulling a shirt on. “What do you need?” he asked, smiling.

“Uh-You know how I can ch-change things into animals? Like how I turned a book into a crow?” I asked, sitting at the counter as he nodded, attempting to fix his hair. “It’s-It’s harder to control.”

“What do you mean?” he asked, leaning on the counter across from me.

“I mean when I was brushing my hair, I let my mind wander and then I was brushing my hair with a mouse,” I said, trying to smile about it. West’s eyebrows went up in surprise.

“Huh,” he said, pulling a book out from the shelf where he kept his muggle cookbooks. He flipped thought it, and mumbled a few things. He dropped the book, and yanked out a caldron from under the sink. He waved his wand at the pantry, and walked in. You had to say a spell to get into the potion ingredients, otherwise it was just a normal muggle pantry. I looked over the edge of the book and saw one potion circled in shimmery black ink. It was an extremely complicated potion, and the page was dog eared.
