Well, I thought of this in my history class. SHHHH! DON'T TELL MY TEACHER!
Anyways, I thought you'd all want to know about this... ;)

Waverly POV
I was asleep.
The deep, consuming type of sleep that didn’t come often to me anymore.
And I was woken up by a damn owl.
I growled, and felt my hands spark loudly and the burning material of my mattress. My hand fell off my bed and brushed the clean carpet. Thank God Lily made me learn all those boring cleaning spells.
I almost cried thinking of her.
3 minutes. If I’d been three minuets sooner…
I sat up, and raked my hair back. It probably looked like a haystack.
I saw a familiar owl on my side table. My mouth twitched up in a rare smile.
“Hey…Mystic,” I cooed, holding out my fingers. She leaned into them, and hooted lightly. “Yeah…Yeah I missed you too.” I mumbled, getting up and changing into clothes. I’m not sure why I bothered to get out of bed somedays, when I really thought about it.
“Who’s trying to get me to come back now?” I asked her, pulling the two letters out of her beak. I tossed the letter from West into the pile with the others in the corner of my studio apartment, I leaned on the window, looking out at New York as I ripped open the other letter.
Hello Waverly
Hagrid. Huh.
Harry’s here, I’m sure you’ve kept track though. Same age as Leo and Phoenix. Wonderful kids.
Anyways, you know I’d only make West send you this if it wasn’t important. Harry’s Aunt and Uncle told him his parents died in a crash, he didn’t even know he was a wizard!
That made me mad.
So, I’m writing around, getting pictures of James and Lily. I’m sure you have plenty. Would you mind sending me a few, to put in an album for him.
Hope you well, and hope to see you soon.
Hagrid
I crumpled the letter, and fell back on my bed. I looked around my small apartment.
The dated TV, sun faded Gryffindor and Hogwarts banners, my wedding, engagement, and the other ring I had where balanced in a line on my mantel. The silver chain they had been on was behind them. The floor was spotless, but in an hour it’d be covered in ash and brunt things.
I’d lost the ability to control my fire after…October 31, 1981.
I looked up and Mystic, and she tilted her head at me.
“Give me a minute.” I sighed.
I opened my closet, and dragged out my ratty trunk. I sat on the floor, and opened it. I inhaled the warm, musty smell that was my wool robes and my Hogwarts dorm.
I pushed aside my old, marked up books, and a few generic papers. I stopped as I saw the thick, worn album that Lily put together for me when me and Sirius got married.
I opened to the first page, and intently snapped I shut again. I took a deep breath, and looked at the black and white picture on the page.
It was of all of us, minus Peter. He sold them out.
Over the years, I’ve tried to convince myself that maybe he was tortured into it. Or threatened.
I looked back at the picture. We were all relatively still, but still bumping against one another and smiling.
James had a tight arm around Lily’s waist and had his head leaned in to hers, his forehead resting on hers as they grinned. James had his other arm around Sirius’s shoulders in a headlock. He was half-fallen over and had his arms where around my waist, pulling me off the ground. Remus had his hands on my back, trying to keep me from falling in the wet grass.
I smiled, and ran my fingers over the pages.
I flipped though, and found the picture I was looking for.
It was just of Lily and James. I had levitated the camera over their heads. The light snow that was falling was catching in James’s unruly Black hair, and Lily’s auburn hair.
They were dancing around in an awkward circle. Lily couldn’t dance to save her life. James, like Sirius, was forced through lessons by his mother. They lightly kissed, then saw the camera, and grinned at it.
I ripped it from the page, fixing the corners with my wand after, and shoving it in an envelope. I scrawled a quick note, and, stopped.
When Sirius was thrown in prison, James and Lily died, and Alice and Frank went off their rockers, I said I’d drop everything. That everyone would be better without me.
I looked at the wrinkled letter, and gave it to Mystic.
“Take it before I change my mind,” I said softly, kissing her feathery head.
