Hey there!

Sorry for the wait, it's my last week of school and I have a crap load of finals I have to study for. I don't expect to update until after June 8, sorry.

This is a bit shorter than I would have liked, but I didn't want to leave you all hanging!

But, here's the next chapter!

Phoenix POV

“Waverly,” Lupin groaned, turning to look at the smirking female professor. Black on the other hand, was looking at her like she was some sort of angle.

“Remy,” Trinke groaned in the same tone, waltzing into the room to hop up on a dresser. “I’m right though. Snape finding out that someone was clever enough to realize the real intent of the stupid paper-Oh! Your boggart! Maybe she saw your boggart!” She continued, grinning like she was winning a game show.

“Both.” Hermione said quietly.

“Ah, you really are clever.” Trinket smiled. “Cleverest witch of your age I’ve met-Oh God.” She cut off her compliment and turned to look at Lupin and Black. “I said ‘clever’ twice in one sentence. I’m going native! British! I blame you.” She finished, pointing a finger at Black.

“I’m really not. If I had been I would have told everyone what he is!” Hermione protested quickly.

“They already know, the staff.” Lupin said quietly.

“Dumbledore hired you when he knew you were a werewolf?” Ron asked, stunned.

“Is he mad?” Leo put in, adding a quick chuckle.

“Most likely.” Trinket added, staring at Black intently. He was gazing back at her like he was trying to read her mind.

“Most of the staff thought so,” Lupin said slowly...almost sadly. “He had to work hard to convince certain teachers that I’m trustworthy-”

“Me too,” Trinket added flatly, Black dropped his gaze from hers. I guess he couldn’t look at the wife he left in the eyes. Coward.

“AND HE WAS WRONG!” Harry bellowed. “YOU-” he pointed to Lupin. “-AND YOU-” he pointed at my mother, perched on the dresser. “-HAVE BEEN HELPING HIM THE WHOLE TIME!”

Black moved to sink into a chair next to Trinket, his face hanging in his shaking hands. I saw my mum look at him like she wanted to comfort him, but she didn’t move.

“Neither of us have been helping Sirius.” Lupin insisted. “If you’ll give me a chance to explain, you’ll see-” he paused to toss our wands back. I caught mine against my chest with numb fingers.
